And proud to be an American. No country has been perfect throughout their history, but none has been as compassionate and as giving - in terms of money, resources and lives - to help other nations in need, as America and her citizens have been. And none have given as much for the security of man's freedom around the world as we have given, and will continue to give. I hope you will stand with me as I declare that I do not apologize for America's imperfections; I celebrate her strength of character, her desire to ensure all men and women from all nations, whom God has created equal, have the opportunity to live free if they so desire, and her willingness to stand tall in the face of all adversity in pursuit of that worthwhile goal.
I believe in good and evil, and I believe that we are an inherently good nation. And on the scales that balance such things, history will show that despite the few who gladly and actively wish to tarnish our reputation around the world, and the apparent willingness of our government who, along with a small segment of our population, are willing to accept that portrayal, we are indeed the beacon of light that shines brightly around the world. But with that role, comes responsibility. So as we pursue our reclamation, and then our restoration, of a more Constitutional America filled with renewed levels of freedom and liberty, remember that our actions are being watched by millions, if not billions, around the world. And it is our actions that may well be the catalyst that drives other nations to defy their governments in pursuit of increased freedom and liberty in the decades to come. Once again, America will lead the way, because that's who we are.
