"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Is Kagan The Best Choice For America?

In her just-released Oxford University thesis, Elena Kagan expressed sentiments that could be used as the textbook definition of a judicial activist.

She said that judges should "mold and steer the law in order to... achieve certain social ends." My opinion - and the opinion of our founding fathers and countless Supreme Court decisions - is that judges should interpret and apply the law, not "mold" or "steer" the law!

We now have, in her own words, proof that Elena Kagan is a judicial activist who will use the Supreme Court to achieve her own ideological ends. Here is the full quote from Kagan's thesis:

"Judges are judges, but they are also men... As men and as participants in American life, judges will have opinions, prejudices, values. Perhaps most important, judges will have goals. And because this is so, judges will often try to mold and steer the law in order to promote certain ethical values and achieve certain social ends. Such activity is not necessarily wrong or invalid." - Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman Liberty Counsel
In a time of great uncertainty as to where the country is headed, in a time when the government is the least trusted in recent history, and in a time when the challenges facing America are greater than perhaps at anytime since the civil war, is Kagan the best choice for America? You decide...

Not Defined By Our Borders? Really?

Map Of My Country

Let me make this perfectly clear! THIS IS MY COUNTRY! And, because I make this statement DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration!!!

Everyone is welcome here in my country. But welcome only if they come through legally like our parents and grandparents did. Get A sponsor! Get A place to lay your head! Get A job! Live By OUR Rules! Pay YOUR Taxes! And learn the language like immigrants in the past have. I'm tired of pressing 1 for English. How sad that an American citizen would have to do that.

And please don't demand that we hand over our lifetime savings of social security funds to you...Those of you who have never even paid taxes or contributed in any way to the social security system.

If you, the American citizen, don't want to acknowledge this as a serious issue for fear of offending someone, then YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

When will Americans stop giving away their rights??? We've gone so far the other way... Bent over backwards not to offend anyone. But it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN CITIZEN that's being offended!

WAKE UP America !!!

The Best Thing For Society? According To Who? Not Our Founders, That's For Sure

Disturbing audio has emerged of White House information czar Cass Sunstein, who in a previous white paper called for banning “conspiracy theories,” demanding that websites be mandated by law to link to opposing information or that pop ups containing government propaganda be forcibly included on political blogs.

In an audio excerpt of an interview, Sunstein discusses how conservative websites should provide links to liberal websites and vice versa or even how political blogs should be made to include pop ups that show “a quick argument for a competing view”.

Sunstein said that if this system couldn’t be implemented voluntarily, “Congress should hold hearings about mandates,” which would legally force people to dilute their own free speech. The Harvard Professor also said that blogs should be forced to list a random draw of 25 popular websites, such as CNN.com. - This from the Vision To America website.

America Rising: Is THIS Message Loud Enough Washington?

It's been a while since I last posted, but yesterday's events across the country have given me renewed hope that Americans are still engaged in this epic struggle. In primaries in Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Kentucky the incumbents have been sent a clear message - POLITICS IN AMERICA WON'T BE 'AS USUAL'.

These three reaces, on the heals of what has occurred in Virginia (McDonnell), New Jersey (Christie)and Massachusetts (Brown), and following voter rejections of GOP Sen. Bob Bennett of Utah and Democratic Rep. Alan Mollohan in West Virginia clearly demonstrate that anti-incumbent discontent is high and will continue to sweep the country - transforming Congress in November. The American voters are not happy being "political pawns" for the "elite" in Washington. They are not happy that the "elite" have forgotten their purpose - to represent all of us! Not just the special interest that they hope will bring them their next political victory. Americans are not interested in 'career politicians' living in Washington on our dime, but with their own set of rules. Americans are looking for fairness from their elected officials - fairness for all the people, but also fairness between what they vote for us and what they vote for themselves - all too often very, very different. Americans want conviction and strength of character in their leadership - something sorely lacking in Washington (generally speaking) for decades. Americans want to be truly represented.

So, for all you encumbents out there, hear this message. Take the time to look into the eyes of the person staring back at you in the mirror, and honestly evaluate if that person has voted with conviction. Or have they voted with one finger in the air hoping to determine which way the wind was blowing. Or worse, have they voted strictly because it was in their best intersts, in terms of various forms of kickbacks? If it's not the first, do yourself and America a huge favor and just retire. Don't make us spend the money to fire you! We will, but it would be a lot easier if you just quietly went to the political graveyard. Your choice...
