Folks, I listen to a lot of people and most of them are still hung up on party labels. We need to stop thinking in that old paradigm. There are some conservative Democrats and there are some progressive Republicans. We need to vote out the progressives regardless of their party affiliation. Congressional Corruption

I sent this message to my Senators and my Representative today. Get involved folks! I am disgusted! Stop the spending, stop the corruption, stop the bribes and stop the payoffs. The political process in Washington is an embarrassment. Do what is right for America - not the lobbies, PACs and special interest groups. It is unseemly, illegal, unethical, immoral, irresponsible, an abuse of the authority we have given to Congress, and a betrayal of the American people, the country and the Constitution! Get legislation passed that addresses the issue of “legalized bribes and payoffs”. Get the lobbyists out of Washington. Ban the acceptance of money from ALL organizations – it insidiously becomes corrupt. Pass legislation that contributions must be made by individuals only – period, and only up to a certain amount so that no one’s money can buy a specific position. Again, pass ALL necessary legislation to ELIMINATE corruption in Congress. Wake Up America!

Palin & Integrity Go Hand In Hand

I had to post this, because it expresses my beliefs on Palin exactly. Why Sarah Palin Threatens The 'Establishment' By Christopher G. Adamo July 30, 2009 The Republican Party continues to amass expertise in losing elections. Its current reticence in getting behind the momentum of Sarah Palin, now the former Governor of Alaska, unequivocally proves the point. Many have postulated in vain as to why such an energizing presence in the party has been soundly rejected by its "inner circle." Yet despite phony attempts at eloquence and deep analysis, it is clear that somehow, the basic integrity and common sense that Palin exudes are themselves the offending factors. All of that "of the people, by the people, and for the people," rhetoric may look good engraved on the monuments and surely sounds good in campaign ads, but this is just not how things are done in Washington anymore. When measured against the current "ruling class," Palin's faults, or more precisely, those qualities about her which critics attempt to manufacture into faults, are trivial at worst. More pertinently, the derisive commentary is far more reflective of truly serious character defects on their own part. Sadly, many of them claim to lean to the political right. Some have descended to the level of finding fault with the unconventional names Todd and Sarah Palin have given to their children. Certainly, such small-mindedness is a matter of absolute irrelevancy to Palin's nature, and merely another indication of the desperate efforts to marginalize her. It also reveals a glaring hypocrisy among those critics with their flagrantly selective powers of observation. In comparison, they studiously avoided ever noticing anything unusual about the name "Hussein," as if it is a typical moniker expected for the average passerby on Mainstreet in Middle America. Not surprisingly, many of these same critics have been having a field day ever since Palin's announcement of her resignation from the governorship of Alaska. Somehow, by prematurely leaving a political office, we are told that she has thoroughly betrayed the public trust and desecrated every worthwhile American institution right down to motherhood and apple pie. Yet little if any similar criticism was leveled at Hillary Clinton who, during her waning days in the unelected post of "First Lady," suddenly recalled a "Jewish" heritage and a lifelong affinity for the New York Yankees. And all of this happened just as she and the little man were making a frenzied purchase of their dream home in the New York City suburb of Chappaqua. Apparently, in the world of the political insiders, it is just fine to invent a residency in order to pursue political office and personal ambitions under the flagrant pretense of "representing" the people of New York in the United States Senate. Yet it is political "heresy" for someone to leave office, out of a sincere belief that their best interests and those of their State are served thusly. Nevertheless, in doing so Palin has proven herself to be of a far higher character than any of her attackers. Of course, no discussion of Palin's detractors would be complete without a mention of the Republican Party's menopausal wing, as epitomized by former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan and Washington Post token conservative "pundit" Kathleen Parker. In their incessant efforts to derail Palin, Noonan and Parker have descended to a level of discourse rife with shallow catcalls and jeers. In telling contrast, Noonan had heaped accolades on Barack Obama while Parker supports the elevation of judicial activist Sonya Sotomayor to the Supreme Court and excoriates the GOP for refusing to follow along.Over time, a disturbing pattern of arrogance and elitism has revealed the mindset of the average Beltway insider, regardless of political affiliation, to be self-absorbed and disdainful of the hopes, dreams, and concerns of real America. As a result, on one issue after another, although the people of the heartland are steadfastly committed to their heritage and their roots, elected officials obsessively seek to move the country away from such things. Those entrusted to protect the rights, liberties, and property of the common man are instead fixated on vast increases in the concentration of power and wealth at the federal level, with the average citizen required to pay the bill. Throughout her public life, Sarah Palin has steadfastly opposed such entities, and in stark contrast to the mutual "back-scratching" corruption that permeates Washington, has dealt severely with any breaches of ethics on both sides of the political aisle. Rather than being "of the Ivy league" and for her own ambitions, she has made the difficult decisions needed to eradicate the facades and restore public confidence in the workings of government in her state. And it is clearly this personality trait, and the resolve to act on it, that makes her a hero to the citizenry, and a mortal threat to the "establishment" regardless of party affiliation. Having made a meteoric rise to national prominence on the heels of her nomination as John McCain's 2008 running mate, Sarah Palin became the foremost target of the Alinsky/Acorn political attack machine. Her ability to rise above it and advance the cause of conservatism will signify the ability of conservative America to do likewise. A recent Rasmussen poll shows that Americans still overwhelmingly consider themselves conservative. Sarah Palin can connect with that segment of the population, motivate and inspire it to action. In such a political climate, no excuses suffice for a party that professes to be conservative, yet is devastated at the ballot box as badly as was the case last November. What Republican Party hacks seem unwilling to recognize, or perhaps have become too jaundiced within the system to comprehend, is that Palin's success or failure will ultimately be their own. If real Republicans really want to win in 2010, they had better start by recognizing what it is that made, and continues to make Sarah Palin an inspirational icon of conservatism. --- Christopher G. Give Me A Break!

Does calling something racist make it so? Tell me the difference between these two statements. Impeach Bush. Impeach Obama. Hmmm, the focus of one is on a black man. Does that make it a racist comment? I don't think so. And if we stay on that road, there'll come a time when no black person can be criticized and that's just ridiculous! So why is it that whenever someone criticizes a black person the first reaction is to fall back on the race card? "Free Market Warrior" a kiosk selling anti-Obama bumper stickers is being thrown out of the mall they lease space in because someone complained the stickers were racist. Give me a break! What about all the pro-Obama slogans? Are they racist? Why not? What about all the anti-bush rhetoric, was that racist? Of course not, only white Texans were making those remarks, right? Guess again. We better make an effort to get rid of the double standard pervading America, or it will lead to trouble down the road. All American's want is fairness and equality, and I'm not seeing much of that - and I haven't for a long time. And because we are so intimidated, for fear of being called a racist, or perceived as lacking compassion or sympathy for the plight of poor folks and/or minorities, or thought to be lacking tolerance, we accept all that is being pushed at us in terms of social justice. I for one, am sick of the double standard! Give Me A Break!!!!! Wake Up America!

He Warned Us - Are You Happy Now?

On November 4th, 2008 the American People voted for a new President. In my opinion, there was no real choice in that campaign. When the consummate patriot, compliments the radical leftist as McCain did, the writing was on the wall. As you might remember, John McCain stated, when questioned at a town hall meeting in early October, "Obama was a good decent man that they did not have to fear". Why did he say that? And how could he be so wrong? Why would he provide this "edge" to his opponent? Maybe because McCain wasn't quite the moderate he thinks he is, and he certainly is no conservative. The popular vote was 69,456,897 vs. 59,934,814 in favor of Obama. Just over 9.5 million more voting Americans chose Obama over McCain. That's not a lot given the voter fraud that went on by ACORN, and the intimidation at the polling place by the New Black Panthers. And today, how many of those millions regret that choice? How many, seeing the destruction Obama wants for America would vote for him again? His hard-core radical base, obviously. Leftist fringe groups, obviously. But what about main-stream America? I'm betting not. He told us in January that we were just "5 days away from fundamentally changing America", and he's set out to accomplish that as quickly and as destructively as he possibly can. Yes, he warned us, but we didn't listen too well, did we? Now the bigger questions are what is his vision of his new America, once he's finished crafting her, and what is his gain for doing so? And the million dollar question is, can the destruction he has wrought, and will continue to bring to America, be reversed? We have our work cut out for us for sure. Our next President will be challenged like none before him. And also, unlike community organizer Obama, the next President of the United States needs to be patriotic, a conservative, a free-enterprise thinker, unapologetic, and proud to be American. Since When...?

I've read and reread "The Pocket Patriot" - which is both the Constitution of the United States and The Declaration of Independence in one small book. I've searched through every passage contained in those two documents. Nowhere did I find that the Agenda and/or Ambitions of the President supersede the will of the people. Nowhere could I find that the ambition to "Define My Presidency" supersedes the will of the people. I just didn't see it anywhere. Did I miss it in there? Nope, didn't think so. So where does Obama get off pushing health care reform that is not acceptable to the citizens of the Republic? Where does he get off dividing the country through class envy, as well as political, religious and racial division, to accomplish his agenda? Where does he get off socializing America through progressive reforms? Why aren't Americans more upset with this guy? Wake Up America!

Actively supporting reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine - designed to require local stations provide equal time to opposing views, regardless of whether the programs that espouse those views are popular and can generate ad revenue to support the radio station. This will reduce the programming that the people want to hear, and replace it with liberal propaganda and government infomercials. Considering a "bailout" for minority-owned radio stations like the one implemented for GM and Chrysler. Obama's belief that America is not a Christian nation. The fact that when Obama spoke at Georgetown University, symbols representing Jesus Christ were covered up. Transparency - Obama promised that any bill slated to be signed into law would be placed on the Internet for 5 days for our perusal. That hasn't happened once! Obama's assault on the 2nd Amendment via the CIFTA treaty, which is being called a convention to disguise what it really is. If it is ratified, it will effectively limit our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. Why would the government want to strip us of our right to personal protection? Obama wants a civilian security force, as strong and well funded as our own military, which will be required to serve. Can you say Nazi Germany? Obama's demonstrated bias for black Americans and the free market - remember the Gates/Crowley response? Is he perptuating racism and class envy? Why is he demonizing so many industries? Obama's propensity to resort to his work as a community organizer - it's what he learned, it's what he knows, it's what he is good at, and it's what he wants for America. With his election and his choices of cabinet members and czars, I have only one question. How did we allow communist, socialist and Nazi ideologues access to the most powerful office in the world, and the opportunity to ru(i)n our country? OK, let's summarize. Self avowed Communists and socialists are currently residing in the highest echelons of government. Obama has consolidated power by appointing over 32 czars (so far) that report, and are loyal, only to him. Obama wants to create a "security force", and wants to shut down the Internet when he declares an "emergency". Obama is redistributing wealth, which by definition will result in wealthier people becoming less wealthy and less likely to be able to pay for dissenting opinion, programs, etc. The redistributed wealth, in part, is going to the union organizers who Obama claims he owes much. Why do you think all these things are happening, and happening so quickly? We're in a national 911 here folks. It's time to... Wake Up America!

The More We Peel The Onion, The More It Stinks

I thought I had Obama all figured out - see the "Why is Half of America Brain Dead" post below. But it seems the more we peel the onion, the more it stinks. Obama is a community organizer, much like the union organizers. He's appointed community organizers to key posts in his administration. He's given parts of car manufacturing businesses to the unions. A large portion of the 870 Billion Dollar stimulus is going to the coffers of the unions. He plans to sign into law union card check legislation. His mentality is such, that he will destroy America as we know it, to remake it into a "union shop". Watch this video. The (Demon)crats and the (Repugnant)cans

What good is a political party if it doesn't represent your political ideology? That's the question many Americans are asking themselves these days. The election 0f 2008 is a prime example of the proverbial "rock and a hard place" many of us finds ourselves between. Really, how many of you who didn't want Obama were really excited about McCain? And how many of you who voted for Obama, did so as a protest against McCain and the Republican Party? The Republican Party continues to chase after the same voters that the Democrats already have - so why do they think the conservatives in the country would be thrilled? That really only leaves us two candidate choices from the same ideology. Different parties, same ideology. Boy, that's a good reason to go out and vote! You see, if we vote in protest against the Republicans we hurt ourselves; but if we vote for the Republicans they think we like what they stand for and we get more of it. God, what a mess. We need someone who is willing to develop a new party. As far as I'm concerned the Republican Party left us, so what we need is some charismatic individual to draft a new, dynamic, conservative platform that is equipped to get the message out to young conservatives as well as old. I believe the pundits are correct, and the republican party is becoming obsolete. All the politicians who continue to sail that ship as it goes down, will undoubtedly perish. So the only alternative is a new party - one that is beholden to the constitution. Unfortunately, I don't think even that will save the country because there are just too many people here illegally or who are receiving entitlements who will always vote with the Democrats. The only way to reverse the slide, is to vote progressives out of office and keep them out. It kind of makes me wish I lived in a time when men and women had acute political wisdom, fought for what they believed, and died for that belief as well. But, alas, we've become a weak people. A people unaccustomed to action at any level. A people mostly unaware of real integrity and principle in terms of the political process. It's been bred out of us over the past 100 or so years. Get involved, get active, get ready to vote, and vote correctly - with your mind, not your heart. You need to know if that Senator you like is a progressive or not. You need to know if your Representative is a progressive or not. If they are you need to vote them out whether you like them personally or not. It's the most powerful weapon we have, but if we're afraid (or incapable) of firing it, then we are lost. Get prepared people. The fight is coming! Wake Up America, and fight the good fight! Am I An Alarmist?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." - Thomas Jefferson. I hope this is not too alarming. I hope this does not turn people off. I am not a nut. I am passionate about America and the Republic for which she stands. I am passionate about the Constitution and the rights it gave to us. But, it's such a sad day when, after reading those inspiring words, I realize that too many people just don't care enough to (a) become actively involved in our country's direction or (b) consider the future that will surely come to pass because of their apathy. We are in perilous times my friends, make no mistake. Don't underestimate this administration or the progressive movement. That movement has been underestimated for 40 years already. We are so close to the edge that it scares me to death. There are so many issues in play, that it's hard trying to organize them all in my head, so that I can discuss them clearly. But rest assured, if Obama is allowed to push his agenda through we will NOT recognize America in a few years. I don't know exactly what it will look like, but I know what it won't have. It won't have as many motivated people trying to improve technology and medicine and engineering and manufacturing. It won't have investors and entrepreneurs driving the economy. It won't have as many wealthy people, and those that are wealthy won't be as wealthy. It will foster distrust and bias. It will create more unfair government programs that handicap one ethnic group over another. It will have many disgusted and disappointed and disillusioned citizens. It may have long-term recession. It may have runaway inflation, It may have war. In my mind, we are already in a civil war - one of ideology, rather than guns. But a civil war all the same. You may recall that in the Civil War brothers fought against brothers, cousins against cousins, and friends against friends. Well that's what's coming to America again. I've already experienced it in my own life. Maybe some of you who are actively fighting for the Constitution have as well. It's just a matter of time before it's a common thing. And who knows, it may, at some point in the future, come to guns as well. That wouldn't surprise me.The progressive ideology has been festering under the surface of American culture for years. Obama may not be evil, who am I to say, but he is the catalyst that is bringing the progressive ideology to the surface - much like heat brings the infection of a festering wound to the surface. Now it's time, somehow, to clean the wound and rid ourselves of progressive ideology. That won't be easy. But you can start by voting in 2010. Do your research, and remember - no progressives in Congress. That will take time - many elections most likely. But if we don't start now, we might as well bend over and kiss our butts goodbye. The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans. Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away. These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. Why Is Half The Country Brain Dead?

We have a President who has demonstrated that he is not going to govern in a color-blind manner. Somewhere, somehow, Barack Obama was psychologically damaged in terms of his view of the black/white populations in America. Obama claims that spending 20 years sitting in church listening to the hatred spewed by Jeremiah Wright did not affect him because he didn't listen to Wright anyway. Did you ever buy that remark? If Wright was not compelling enough to keep Obama's interest, why then did Obama sit there? Was he being disingenuous while sitting in church week after week after week after week after week, or is he being disingenuous trying to sell us a fable? I think the latter. We have a President who claims that we need a "civilian security force", trained and equipped as well as our military is, to help secure our borders because our military can't do it. Does that disturb you? On any level? Can you imagine a "civilian military"? Can you say "laying the groundwork for an internal military action"? We have a President who does not tell us the whole story when he speaks. For instance: When talking about health care he says that we need reform because the cost of health care is too high. He claims his government take over plan will bring the cost down. But he never tells us what factors are influencing the cost of health care - like lawsuits, hello! Everyone probably agrees that cost is an issue, but why hasn't tort reform been introduced? We have a president who is directly intimidating private business, and trying to intimidate members of Congress, as well as heads of independent organizations in government - Bernake of the fed and the gentleman from Americorp come to mind. Is it possible that a black man, biased against white America and brainwashed to believe that black America has never stood a chance because white America wronged them throughout our history (remember, Reverend Wright is not the only radical Obama has been associated with. He's been involved with many, along with radical organizations too), and primed as an activist his whole life, after attaining the highest position in the land, would stop at anything to balance that scale? I think it is quite possible that Obama's agenda is all about that. And how would he accomplish his objective? He'd grow government to consolidate power (oops, doing that as I write. Can you say Czar?). He'd disrupt American life as we knew it by pushing social programs that would benefit the unmotivated lower class which is largely black, but with other ethnicities sprinkled in (oops, health care come to mind? Cap & Trade? Cash for clunkers?) by excessively taxing the motivated and successful wealthy. He'd distress the economy (oops, doing that - how is it possible the unions get a piece of the company in America? 10% unemployment on the horizon. The dollar being devalued, and inflation on the horizon). He'd openly support black citizens over white, instead of supporting all citizens (oops, did that!), thereby perpetuating the bias threat (maybe even racism) and further empowering radical blacks by stoking the race fire. That fire is simmering, and in my opinion, will explode regardless of how careful we are. In fact, I think it is a main objective of the radical black movement. There are just too many radicals spouting off for mainstream America to remain comfortable, and those of us who have suffered under political correctness and affirmative action oppression for the past 30 years are getting pretty fed up. Sooner or later, that keg is going to explode. In my opinion it's not a question of will it explode, but rather, a question of when. Is that why Obama wants a civilian security force? Don't be surprised how it all plays out. He'd accomplish all of this on the backs of the rich, who over time, will continue to lose wealth and become less and less influential. And as the rich lose wealth, the lower class would gain wealth (through entitlements). Eventually everyone would pretty much be in the same middle-class boat - except the people running the government, who would have the power and the wealth they sought. So how is it possible that so many people can't see the writing on the wall? I know some intelligent people who are pretty well off, who say they love Obama and think he's doing a really good job. A really good job? Doing what? Dismantling this country? Redistributing wealth? How will these people feel when they can no longer afford their mortgage because the government is taking 50+% of their income in taxes? Why doesn't that bother these folks? Are they so financially secure that receiving only half their pay is OK with them? Didn't they work hard for that money? Shouldn't they have the say in where they want to spend their money, or to what charity they want to contribute? America, we have a HUGE problem on our hands. We are in the midst of a civil war whether you want to acknowledge that fact or not. We may well be involved in a race war some time down the road if we aren't careful. Personally, I think it's inevitable. Our immediate problem is not going away for another three years. And even then, there may be too little resistance to slow this train down. Why people are mindlessly following it, with no regard for what the future will hold for America, is beyond by capability to comprehend. But I want to know, who's been passing out the cool-aid? Wake up America!

How Weak They've Made The 2nd Amendment

I recently contacted my Senators about the 2nd Amendment. Subsequently, legislation was defeated in the Senate that would have upheld the 2nd Amendment in it's entirety. Here is the response I got from one Senator. If it matters, he is a Democrat. Thank you for contacting me regarding the recent proposal to require each state to honor concealed weapon permits issued by other States. I support the constitutional right to bear arms. I grew up on a ranch in the Florida countryside and have been a hunter since I was a boy. As for the legislation on concealed weapon permits, I believe that each State should be free to decide whether to recognize another State’s permit. The Federal government shouldn’t force a State with tougher permit requirements--attendance at a gun safety course, for example--to honor permits from States with less stringent requirements. Those decisions are best left to the States. You can be sure that I will keep your thoughts in mind whenever firearms issues are considered by the Senate. I appreciate your letter. Sincerely, Senator Bill Nelson While I can appreciate that Senator Nelson has been hunting since he was a little boy, the right to bear arms is not about hunting, but about personal protection. In his response Senator Nelson failed to explain to me the reasons why the 2nd amendment has been watered down to the point where we can now only protect ourselves in our own states. Because that’s affectively what the Senate authorized via its vote last week. I am quite certain that is NOT the intent of the 2nd amendment, nor was it the intent of our founding fathers. Would Senator Nelson agree with that personally? I don't know, but I contacted him again to ask that question. If he does agree, then why did he vote against the recent legislation introduced in the senate? If he doesn’t agree with it, I’d like to know what his reasoning is. Let's be realistic here. Failure to pass this law does NOT make anyone safer. The criminals are still going to carry guns across state lines. And most likely, in some limited number of instances, what the senators have done, is cause good law-abiding citizens to break the law as they choose between either protecting themselves and their families as they travel, or they relinquish control and responsibility for their safety and well being, and take the risk that no one will accost them. That’s a pretty high cost to pay if they make the wrong choice, wouldn’t you say? There are a lot of nuts out there, I'm sure you'd agree, who would think nothing of robbing, attacking and possibly killing some poor guy, woman or family for a myriad of reasons. So I'm baffled. After all, the role of the government is to protect its citizens. In the absence of that, the government should make it easy for the citizens to protect themselves. What logic can be used to refute those two statements? But that’s what the recent Senate vote says to all of us. Wake up America!
