There are many reasons for barack obama's election. Ignorance, race and racial pride, historical implication, a belief that "change" meant what each individual expected it to mean even though it was never defined, a well designed and implemented marketing strategy, misrepresentation of the truth, and the repackaging of obama himself all contributed to that result. And because of our national impulsiveness to "vote our heart" instead of our intellect, we find ourselves here today, looking ahead four weeks to what we hope will be the beginning of the process to reclaim and restore our Republic. So Mr. President, do you still think we should be thankful?
