"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Defund Obamacare, And Then Repeal It

From the Center For Individual Freedom...

Do you want to know what Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and their far-left allies in Congress actually fear the most?

What they fear most and the very last thing they want is to be perpetually forced to thwart demands by the American people to repeal ObamaCare. They fully understand that every day they are forced to deny the will of the American people brings the extreme-left one day closer to defeat in November.

And they know that if the left is defeated in November... ObamaCare is effectively finished too. Political pundit Dick Morris explained it this way:

"Defund: Once we get the majority in both chambers, defund appropriations for the Obamacare program. The bill passed by the Congress and signed by the president is simply an authorization measure. Funds must be appropriated for it each year by Congress. Through zero funding these changes, we can cripple them before they take full effect."

Simply put, ObamaCare can be effectively stopped and if we value our freedoms and our liberties, we have only one clear course of action.

We must demand the repeal of ObamaCare. And when Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid thwart the will of the American people and defeat the repeal effort in the Halls of Congress... we must continually demand the repeal of ObamaCare again... and again... and again... and again, if necessary.

If we do that, there WILL be real change... ObamaCare WILL eventually be de-funded and repealed.

Put Obamacare on Life Support! Call Your Congressmen and women and demand they not fund this legislation. And further demand that it be repealed!

God Bless America!

It So It Begins

Not five days after Obama signed mandated Healthcare into law and we're learning that the cost to private sector business is so great that it will cost them in the BILLIONS of dollars, and lead to another significant loss of jobs. How much more are we expected to take, Washington? Great job mein president, great job!

God Bless America!

Civility? Really? Is That How America Was Built?

I have seen and heard it for the past couple of days now, and it is continuing even today. A call throughout the media for the "right" to remain civil. I don't ever recall the same level of caution being proclaimed from the media pulpits even during those occasions when the left has erupted in violent behavior. Interesting!

It's obvious that everyone "in the know", from our elected officials, to our media outlet personalities, to the very people of this great land, understand the possible ramifications that the passing of this travesty called healthcare reform, which has been forced upon all Americans, could lead to. And there is concern that Americans will let their emotions take control of their actions. Hmmm, you think? The governemnt continues to dismiss the will of the American people, and they're concerned there might be consequences? Really?

Well, I have a few questions for all of you...

Does fighting for liberty and freedom make one an extremeist? Were the Minutemen extremists? Were those that took part in the Boston Tea Party? The Union and Confederate armies of the Civil War? The Veterans of WWI and WWII? If you could answer no to those questions, then those of us fighting for Liberty and Freedom are not extremists either! So if freedom lovers are not extremists, at what point do Americans abandon civility? How much of our Freedom and Liberty do we give up, under the guise of "being civil", before "the people" understand that the concept of civility is no longer a viable option at this juncture in America's history, and perhaps is actually being used as a means to "control the masses"?

I doubt our Founders would have allowed the level of liberty already lost in this country. Would they have remained civil? I don't think the men and women who have died for the cause of Freedom and Liberty throughout our history would be very happy that we have willingly abrogated the level of liberty we have over the years. Did the Blue and the Gray remain civil? Was the civil rights movement built on the foundation of civility? Everyone points to Martin Luther King (a great man, absolutely), but what about all the unrest of that time? Change does not come without consequences. So how much do "we the people" take, and at what point will action be too late and no longer effective because we have been asked to be civil? How long do we wait before we engage in civil disobedience? When do we start to defy this government and their agenda to bring socialism to America? Personally? I think now's as good a time as any. I hope at least a few of you are as concerned about a call for "civility" as I am...

God Bless America!

How Confident Are You With Obama Controlling Our Security?

Obama continues to play a big man's game with a little boy's attitude. He undoubtedly will be "played" by the Russians, or worse, will willingly compromise our security under the guise of either "getting along with our world partners" or a misunderstanding of exactly what forces are alligned against the success of American Liberty and Freedom throughout the world. Personally, given his actions over the past 15 months, I think it will be under the guise of "getting along with our world partners" . So do you trust him with your security? All treaties must be ratified by Congress. I suggest once again that you learn all you can about this treaty and direct your Representative and Senators on what you expect them to do. Keep tabs on them. They are, after all, supposed to be representing you...

A START towards Undermining Our Nuclear Security - The Morning Bell; The Heritage Foundation

Yesterday the Kremlin announced that the Obama administration and Russia had reached agreement on a new nuclear arms agreement intended to replace the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START). The declaration appeared to surprise the White House, as Press Secretary Robert Gibbs could only confirm that the two sides were "close" to a treaty. But U.S. officials confirm that "all major obstacles" in negotiations with Moscow have been cleared.

Russian approval of a new START agreement has been the cornerstone of President Barack Obama's "long road toward eliminating nuclear weapons" policy. President Obama's desire to appease Russia is why he began negotiations by unilaterally surrendering to Kremlin demands that the United States betray our Czech Republic and Polish allies by going back on our promise to build ballistic missile defense facilities in Eastern Europe. Russians took President Obama's easy and early capitulation on missile defense as a sign of naivete and weakness and concluded that the Obama administration was far more desperate for a new nuclear treaty than they were and, as The Los Angeles Times reports, "used that fact in negotiations."

The full text of the new agreement has not been released, but early reports indicate that it will not adequately address three key issues and would therefore compromise U.S. national security:

Verification: The Russians have a long and well documented history of violating arms control agreements. By focusing intently on the reduction in each nation’s strategic arsenal, the U.S. has lost some negotiating ground on the issue of verification. The Senate must ensure that the new treaty is adequately verifiable. There is no reason to sign the treaty if the verification mechanisms fall by the wayside.

Nuclear Modernization: Some arms control advocates insist that the U.S. has a robust nuclear modernization program. This claim is simply inaccurate. The truth is that America’s nuclear infrastructure is rapidly aging, in deep atrophy, and is losing its reliability and effectiveness. The U.S. is not producing new nuclear weapons, and its ICBM force is shrinking and not being modernized. In contrast, Russia and China are engaged in a major modernization effort. On December 16, 41 U.S. Senators voiced their concerns and signed a letter saying they will oppose the new treaty if it does not include specific plans for U.S. nuclear modernization as stipulated in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010.

Missile Defense: It is absolutely imperative that a new START agreement not undermine our post-Cold War defensive posture by linking offensive weapons with missile defense. But early reports indicate that the treaty does exactly that. The New York Times reports: "Administration officials describing the draft treaty said its preamble recognized the relationship between offensive weapons and missile defense, but that the language was not binding." But the Times goes on to quote retired major general Vladimir Dvorkin who says Moscow will scrap the treaty if the U.S. pursues missile defense: "If, for example, the U.S. unilaterally deploys considerable amounts of missile defense, then Russia has the right to withdraw from the agreement because the spirit of the preamble has been violated."

The Obama Administration's arms control strategy has been deeply flawed. It is based on outdated 1970s arms control strategy and 1960s idealism and naivete. It will not work because it does not account for Russian nuclear strategy, which is based on approximate parity between the two sides, Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD), denial of missile defenses to the U.S., and nuclear warfighting capability. The U.S. needs to reset the reset before the Obama administration is allowed to seriously undermine our national security.

Let's See What Kind Of Leadership Skills He REALLY Possesses!

Well Mr. Obama, you're sitting in the big seat. Your arrogant quest for history has brought the country to the brink of being torn apart internally. Your quest to become an "historic" figure in American lore has divided the country as no issue has since slavery and the Civil War. Now let's see what leadership skills you really have.

Do you fancy yourself another Lincoln? Are you going to be able to bring both factions of the country together? Are you going to come on TV and tell America you were wrong not to have listened to them, and that you are willing to have your Congress repeal the law you just signed with little or no forethought for what it would do to the country? Or are you going to bring the pot to a boil, watch it overflow, and then call for "mommy" to clean it up? You are playing President, but you don't really know the game or have the skills required to play it well. So far, everything that you've attempted has been a big bungle. So in my opinion, you don't have the required skills to meet the challenge you are solely responsible for creating.

But if you are, and refuse to do so, that leads us to the questions, what were you really looking for? Did you intend to create the climate for civil war in America? And if so, for what gain? To change the very form of government we've nejoyed almsot since our inception? And again, if so, why? What is the motive that drives your insanity?

Wake up Mr. Obama, and realize that you are not Lincoln! You're not Marx either, so stop playing the game thinking you're at their level. You are a small-minded little man looking to play a big-man's game. And you're messing up royally.Grow up!

Oh, and by the way people, don't get too distracted by what the Dems claim is occurring to them in terms of threats to Congress. The claims may be ramped up to misdirect our attention from Obamacare. Maybe not, but it's possible. And it's also possible that the threats against the Dems are staged, who really knows? And while I don't really believe that, it wouldn't surprise me with this group either. After all, the left are the violent ones, as you recall - actually, ever since the radical '60's. Not a single instance has been recorded on video or reported in the news about the conservative right exhibiting violet behavior over healthcare - and there have been thousands of Tea Party events.

God Bless America!

Yes Mr. Biden, Being A Traitor IS A Big F*#$ing Deal

You have it exactly right Mr. Biden. What your boss, Pelosi, Ried and the rest of the leftist lemmings have done is a big deal. You and your peers have openly defied the wishes of a majority of Americans, against the strongest opposition of those Americans, in an attempt to take the first big step to socialize America. You can't hide behind "we didn't know". Poll after poll demonstrated the strong feelings against the healthcare bill, and yet the disdain and arrogance of the Obama-ites in Congress has been made painfully obvious. Enjoy the next 9 months Mr. Biden. After that things won't be so easy in Washington. And enjoy the next two years after that the best you can. After that, you will undoubtedly be playing music on some street corner with a cup by your feet. Unless of course you find yourself in the next room over from Ms. Pelosi in the "cuckoo's nest".

I  feel bad for your children and grandchildren. They will have to endure the chapter in the history books that discusses the failed attempt to socialize America in the 2010's, of which you willingly and actively took part. Maybe they will be kind and won't label you a traitor. Personally though, I hope that's not the case. For you, Obama, Pelosi, Ried and all of those others who signed on to the healthcare debacle are in deed traitors!

Your group has been big on labels - labeling the Tea Party movement members with various interesting names. Well, here's hoping you warm up to your very own label; enjoy the label of TRAITOR!

God Bless America!

Stenny Hoyer, A Democracy? Come On!

First let me say that I have no sympathy for any members of Congress. I saw some of the footage of Stenny Hoyer's press conference where he was crying about death threats to members of Congress. All I really have to say on the matter is that actions have consequences. And when Congress defied the American people they should have recognized the peril they were putting themselves in. They think America will forget? Guess again! I really don't care if they have to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives.

But what really is starting to get under my skin is the fact that politicians, including the dishonorable Stenny Hoyer, for years have been calling America a Democracy. We are not a Democracy. We have a democratic form of government, true. But we are a Republic. The difference is that a majority rules in a Democracy, while a Republic is governed representatively.

Now, Stenny old boy, if we were a Democracy, and majority ruled I'd tell you that what that means is a majority of the PEOPLE, not the House and Senate! And I'd tell you that you didn't vote with the majority. But we are a Republic and you are required by our Constitution to represent the PEOPLE! Well, you didn't do that either. And under either form of government you and your croney friends have been derilict in your duty.

I say the sooner you jokers stop misrepresenting facts to the American people, the better off we'll all be. We're tired of inept, corrupt, dishonorable liars in our Congress! Get OUT!

God Bless America!

Could We Be Headed For A National Battle Of Athens?

I don't remember ever reading about this in the history books. Do you? Interesting set of eventsObvious lessons to be learned from those Tennesseeans!  Even Eleanor Roosevelt understood it!

                                                           The Battle of Athens

                                                              2 AUGUST 1946

I. Introduction

On 2 August 1946, some Americans, brutalized by their county government, used armed force to overturn it. These Americans wanted honest, open elections. For years they had asked for state or Federal election monitors to prevent vote fraud -- forged ballots, secret ballot counts, and intimidation by armed sheriff's deputies -- by the local political boss. They got no help.
These Americans' absolute refusal to knuckle-under had been hardened by service in World War II. Having fought to free other countries from murderous regimes, they rejected vicious abuse by their county government. These Americans had a choice. Their state's Constitution - Article 1, Section 26 - recorded their right to keep and bear arms for the common defense. Few "gun control" laws had been enacted.

These Americans were Tennesseeans of McMinn County, located between Chattanooga and Knoxville, in Eastern Tennessee. The two main towns were Athens and Etowah.
McMinn Countians had long been independent political thinkers. They also had long: accepted bribe-taking by politicians and/or the Sheriff to overlook illicit whiskey-making and gambling; financed the sheriff's department from fines - usually for speeding or public drunkenness - which promoted false arrests; put up with voting fraud by both Democrats and Republicans.

Tennessee State law barred voting fraud: ballot boxes had to be shown to be empty before voting;  poll-watchers had to be allowed; armed law enforcement officers were barred from polling places; ballots had to be counted where any voter could watch.

III. The Circumstances

The Great Depression had ravaged McMinn County. Drought broke many farmers; workforces shrank. The wealthy Cantrell family, of Etowah, backed Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the 1932 election, hoping New Deal programs would revive the local economy and help Democrats to replace Republicans in the county government. So it proved.

Paul Cantrell was elected Sheriff in the 1936, 1938, and 1940 elections, but by slim margins. The Sheriff was the key County official. Cantrell was elected to the State Senate in 1942 and 1944; his chief deputy, Pat Mansfield, was elected sheriff. In 1946, Paul Cantrell again sought the Sheriff's office.

IV. World War II Ends; Paul Cantrell's Troubles Begin

At end-1945, some 3,000 battle-hardened veterans returned to McMinn County. Sheriff Mansfield's deputies had brutalized many in McMinn County; the GIs held Cantrell politically responsible for Mansfield's doings. Early in 1946, some newly-returned ex-GIs decided: to challenge Cantrell politically; to offer an all ex-GI, non-partisan ticket; to promise a fraud-free election.

In ads and speeches the GI candidates promised: an honest ballot count; reform of county government.

At a rally, a GI speaker said, "'The principals that we fought for in this past war do not exist in McMinn County. We fought for democracy because we believe in democracy but not the form we live under in this county.'" (Daily Post-Athenian, 17 June 1946, p. 1).

At end-July 1946, 159 McMinn County GIs petitioned the FBI to send election monitors. There was no response. The Department of Justice had not responded to McMinn Countians' complaints of election fraud in 1940, 1942, and 1944.

V. From Ballots to Bullets

The election was held on 1 August. To intimidate voters, Mansfield brought in some 200 armed "deputies". GI poll-watchers were beaten almost at once. At about 3 p.m., Tom Gillespie, an African-American voter, was told by a Sheriff's deputy, "'Nigger, you can't vote here today!!'". Despite being beaten, Gillespie persisted; the enraged deputy shot him. The gunshot drew a crowd. Rumors spread that Gillespie had been "shot in the back"; he later recovered. (C. Stephen Byrum, The Battle of Athens; Paidia Productions, Chattanooga TN, 1987; pp. 155-57).

Other deputies detained ex-GI poll-watchers in a polling place, as that made the ballot count "public". A crowd gathered. Sheriff Mansfield told his deputies to disperse the crowd. When the two ex-GIs smashed a big window and escaped, the crowd surged forward. "The deputies, with guns drawn, formed a tight half-circle around the front of the polling place. One deputy, "his gun raised high ...shouted: 'You sons-of-bitches cross this street and I'll kill you!'" (Byrum, p. 165).

Mansfield took the ballot boxes to the jail for counting. The deputies seemed to fear immediate attack, by the "people who had just liberated Europe and the South Pacific from two of the most powerful war machines in human history." (Byrum, pp. 168-69).
Short of firearms and ammunition, the GIs scoured the county to find them. By borrowing keys to the National Guard and State Guard Armories, they got three M-1 rifles, five .45 semi-automatic pistols, and 24 British Enfield rifles. The armories were nearly empty after the war's end.

By eight p.m., a group of GIs and "local boys" headed for the jail to get the ballot boxes. They occupied high ground facing the jail but left the back door unguarded to give the jail's defenders an easy way out.

VI. The Battle of Athens

Three GIs - alerting passersby to danger - were fired on from the jail. Two GIs were wounded. Other GIs returned fire. Those inside the jail mainly used pistols; they also had a "tommy gun" (a .45 caliber Thompson sub-machine gun).

Firing subsided after 30 minutes: ammunition ran low and night had fallen. Thick brick walls shielded those inside the jail. Absent radios, the GIs' rifle fire was un-coordinated. "From the hillside, fire rose and fell in disorganized cascades. More than anything else, people were simply 'shooting at the jail'." (Byrum, p. 189).

Several who ventured into "no man's land", the street in front of the jail, were wounded. One man inside the jail was badly hurt; he recovered. Most sheriff's deputies wanted to hunker down and await rescue. Governor McCord mobilized the State Guard, perhaps to scare the GIs into withdrawing. The State Guard never went to Athens. McCord may have feared that Guard units filled with ex-GIs might not fire on other ex-GIs.

At about 2 a.m. on 2 August, the GIs forced the issue. Men from Meigs county threw dynamite sticks and damaged the jail's porch. The panicked deputies surrendered. GIs quickly secured the building. Paul Cantrell faded into the night, almost having been shot by a GI who knew him, but whose .45 pistol had jammed. Mansfield's deputies were kept overnight in jail for their own safety. Calm soon returned: the GIs posted guards. The rifles borrowed from the armory were cleaned and returned before sun-up.

VII. The Aftermath: Restoring Democracy in McMinn County

In five precincts free of vote fraud, the GI candidate for Sheriff, Knox Henry, won 1,168 votes to Cantrell's 789. Other GI candidates won by similar margins.

The GIs did not hate Cantrell. They only wanted honest government. On 2 August, a town meeting set up a three-man governing committee. The regular police having fled, six men were chosen to police Athens; a dozen GIs were sent to police Etowah. In addition, "Individual citizens were called upon to form patrols or guard groups, often led by a GI. ...To their credit, however, there is not a single mention of an abuse of power on their behalf." (Byrum, p. 220).

Once the GI candidates' victory had been certified, they cleaned-up county government: the jail was fixed; newly-elected officials accepted a $5,000 pay limit; Mansfield supporters who resigned, were replaced.

The general election on 5 November passed quietly. McMinn Countians, having restored the Rule of Law, returned to their daily lives. Pat Mansfield moved back to Georgia. Paul Cantrell set up an auto dealership in Etowah. "Almost everyone who knew Cantrell in the years after the 'Battle' agree that he was not bitter about what had happened." (Byrum, pp. 232-33; see also New York Times, 9 August 1946, p. 8).

VIII. The Outsiders' Response

The Battle of Athens made national headlines. Most outsiders' reports had the errors usual in coverage of large-scale, night-time events. A New York Times editorialist on 3 August savaged the GIs (were they progressive even then?), who:

"...quite obviously - though we hope erroneously - felt that there was no city, county, or State agency to whom they could turn for justice.

... "There is a warning for all of us in the occurrence...and above all a warning for the veterans of McMinn County, who also violated a fundamental principle of democracy when they arrogated to themselves the right of law enforcement for which they had no election mandate. Corruption, when and where it exists, demands reform, and even in the most corrupt and boss-ridden communities there are peaceful means by which reform can be achieved. But there is no substitute, in a democracy, for orderly process." (NYT, 3 Aug 1946, p. 14.)

The editorialist did not see:

McMinn Countians' many appeals for outside help; some ruthless people only respect force; that it was wrong to equate use of force by evil-doers (Cantrell and Mansfield) with the righteous (the GIs).

The New York Times: never saw that Cantrell and Mansfield's wholesale election fraud, enforced at gun-point, trampled the Rule of Law;  feared citizens' restoring the Rule of Law by armed force. (Convenient, no?)

Other outsiders, e.g., Time and Newsweek, agreed. (See Time, 12 August 1946, p. 20; Newsweek, 12 Aug 1946, p. 31 and 9 September 1946, p. 38).

The 79th Congress adjourned on 2 August 1946, when the Battle of Athens ended. However, Representative John Jennings, Jr., from Tennessee decried:

McMinn County's sorry situation under Cantrell and Mansfield; the Justice Department's repeated failures to help the McMinn Countians.

Jennings was delighted that "...at long last decency and honesty, liberty and law have returned to the fine county of McMinn...". (Congressional Record, House; U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C., 1946; Appendix, Volume 92, Part 13, p. A4870.)

IX. The Lessons of Athens

Those who took up arms in Athens, Tennessee: wanted honest elections, a cornerstone of our Constitutional order; had repeatedly tried to get Federal or State election monitors; used armed force so as to minimize harm to the law-breakers; showed little malice to the defeated law-breakers; restored lawful government.

The Battle of Athens clearly shows: how Americans can and should lawfully use armed force; why the Rule of Law requires unrestricted access to firearms; how civilians with military-type firearms can beat the forces of "law and order".

Dictators believe that public order is more important than the Rule of Law. However, Americans reject this idea. Criminals can exploit for selfish ends, the use armed force to restore the Rule of Law. But brutal political repression - as practiced by Cantrell and Mansfield - is lethal to many. An individual criminal can harm a handful of people. Governments alone can brutalize thousands, or millions.

Since 1915, officials of seven governments "gone bad" have committed genocide, murdering at least 56 million persons, including millions of children. "Gun control" clears the way for genocide by giving governments "gone bad" far greater freedom to commit mass murder.

Law-abiding McMinn Countians won the Battle of Athens because they were not hamstrung by "gun control". McMinn Countians showed us when citizens can and should use armed force to support the Rule of Law. We are all in their debt.

This is a bare bones summary of a major report in JPFO's Firearms Sentinel (January 1995). To learn how the gutsy people of Athens, Tennessee did the Framers of the Constitution proud, send $3 to JPFO, 2872 South Wentworth Avenue; Milwaukee, WI 53207; and request the January 1995 Firearms Sentinel. And then there's this...

Mrs. Roosevelt Grasps Local Facts Better Than Most

Editor's Note — Our attention has been called to Mrs. Roosevelt's column upon McMinn. She seems to have grasped the facts and significance better than any other outside writer:

McMinn A Warning — By Eleanor Roosevelt

New York, Monday — After any war, the use of force throughout the world is almost taken for granted. Men involved in the war have been trained to use force, and they have discovered that, when you want something, you can take it. The return to peacetime methods governed by law and persuasion is usually difficult.

We in the U.S.A., who have long boasted that, in our political life, freedom in the use of the secret ballot made it possible for us to register the will of the people without the use of force, have had a rude awakening as we read of conditions in McMinn County, Tennessee, which brought about the use of force in the recent primary. If a political machine does not allow the people free expression, then freedom-loving people lose their faith in the machinery under which their government functions.

In this particular case, a group of young veterans organized to oust the local machine and elect their own slate in the primary. We may deplore the use of force but we must also recognize the lesson which this incident points for us all. When the majority of the people know what they want, they will obtain it.

Any local, state or national government, or any political machine, in order to live, must give the people assurance that they can express their will freely and that their votes will be counted. The most powerful machine cannot exist without the support of the people. Political bosses and political machinery can be good, but the minute they cease to express the will of the people, their days are numbered.

This is a lesson which wise political leaders learn young, and you can be pretty sure that, when a boss stays in power, he gives the majority of the people what they think they want. If he is bad and indulges in practices which are dishonest, or if he acts for his own interests alone, the people are unwilling to condone these practices.

When the people decide that conditions in their town, county, state or country must change, they will change them. If the leadership has been wise, they will be able to do it peacefully through a secret ballot which is honestly counted, but if the leader has become inflated and too sure of his own importance, he may bring about the kind of action which was taken in Tennessee.

If we want to continue to be a mature people who, at home and abroad, settle our difficulties peacefully and not through the use of force, then we will take to heart this lesson and we will jealously guard our rights. What goes on before an election, the threats or persuasion by political leaders, may be bad but it cannot prevent the people from really registering their will if they wish to.

The decisive action which has just occurred in our midst is a warning, and one which we cannot afford to overlook.

Resist And Replace

It's not really about healthcare any longer! It started out as a movement against government spending, high taxes and big government. It morphed into a movement against socialized medicine and government-run healthcare. But now it is bigger than that. The grassroots movement that has swept the nation and continues to grow is now about resisting and replacing an unresponsive, un-American, unpatriotic and arrogant government determined to destroy as much liberty and freedom as possible - from the president down through the congress. It's about resisting and replacing a government that will not listen to the people they have sworn to represent. It's about resisting and replacing a government that has fantasized, in a grandiose fashion, their importance and role in history; fantasized it to the extent that making history is more important to them than serving the interests of America.

But what will history really show these people to be? While any government should be depicted as patriotic, freedom-loving contemporaries of those they serve, this group will be remembered as nothing more than determined socialist thugs. Al Capone, also from Chicago, is remembered in history. Baby Faced Nelson as well. And remember Bugsy Siegel? What about the mob? Yep, they were all part of history. So enjoy your role in history Mr. President and the 111th Congress. Enjoy your remembrance as the Infamous President and his Crony Congress.

So yes Mr. President, yes Speaker Pelosi, yes Majority leader Ried, and yes all you other members of the 111th Congress who voted against liberty and individual freedom on March 21st, 2010. We will resist you at every opportunity! We will replace you at your next re-election bid! We do not believe that you are good for our country.

God Bless America! And America, Resist and Replace!!!

Watch all 14 short videos to see where this slide towards socialism might take us. See any similarities at all relative to what's happening, or been suggested, in America? While we may not slide quite this far, even heading in this direction is an appalling concept, and must not be allowed! At some point you'll see an image, and I'm quite sure you'll be able to imagine Obama's face instead of the picture that's actually there...

We Are Engaged In The Greatest War

This one of ideology and for the soul of America! After yesterday's vote don't despair, persevere! We are not done with this battle by any means. We now need to encourage all around us to get out to vote in November, but to vote with their patriotic heart - not their socialist-light heart.

I fully expect that there will be a vast change in Congress after November. I fully expect the new Congress to pass a bill for repeal of the Healthcare Law. I fully expect that Obama will not sign it. At that point it goes back to Congress and requires a 67% vote in favor of repeal to become law. THAT is why we need to change the makeup of Congress! And at that point, Obama has no choice but to repeal it. However, his side of the fence is well aware of that too. He is a community organizer. He understands the importance of getting out the vote. SEIU and ACORN will be tenacious in doing so. Normally, off-year elections see less than 40% of the adult population voting. We need to see 65-70% this year. Please make sure you are encouraging family members and relatives to vote - get their commitment. It is that important. In that vien, can I count on you to vote? I hope so!

If we fail to repeal this law, there will be bloodshed in America. Obama has already indicated his next big project on his socialist agenda is Amnesty legislation. You know, legalizing all those illegal aliens to increase the Dems voting block. America will not stand for it. It won't be allowed. And some form of war will ensue. The problem is that many people still don't see it as socialism, and many that actually do see it don't think they can do anything about it.

So take a page from the Declaration of Independence and swear to pledge your life, your fortune and your sacred honor to protect the Constitution. I do, because I fully realize what is at stake. Does that make me a fanatic? An extremist? If so, then I'll gladly accept that title. Pledging those things is not easy to do; your life involves more than just you. And yet the founders, who also faced that problem, did pledge. Are you willing? And if so, are you willing to convince one other person and have that person convince one other? See how difficult it is? But I just look at my children and especially my grandson, and then I look at what's occurred under socialism and communism throughout history - and even under the Monarchy and the Church - and I know that liberty is still the best answer. And, yes, in my view, worth dying for.

I've been thinking lately how the socialists/communists must have felt when they realized that America had the power to sway the entire world because of her governmental ideology. They would have recognized that fact shortly after WWI. They would have recognized the threat to their way of government - and consequently their power - and been moved to create a plan to thwart our attraction. The only way to do that was to systematically dismantle the Constitution little by little, under the guise of "helping" the little guy (and they're still doing that; still bastardizing big business, for example, as trampling the little guy, as being oh so greedy!). They took the time to infiltrate our government, our media, our courts, and our learning institutions. And this is where we find ourselves today. But there will be one horrific fight before we willingly go down in socialists flames. So regardless of what you do, or what you believe, be prepared for that if it should come in our lifetimes. I don't see how it couldn't, but no one has a crystal ball.

Thanks for caring enough to read what's going on in every outlet you can find, and to have taken some action. I hope you will stay engaged. I hope you will see the flaw in the logic of surrendering to the alleged inevitable. I don't think it's inevitable at all - but I'm assuming more people will become engaged, not less. I'm disappointed that so many people don't seem to see the bigger picture and aren't willing to make a stand. It just makes me sad for them and for America. I know there must be millions like them.

Stand Firm America! Unite Around Liberty! Unite Around Patriotism! Think long and hard about how important it is to you. The time is near for a reckoning to come. Are you prepared?

God Bless America! And God Bless Us All! And might I add, God help those who have perverted our Constitution and our culture.

You're New Best Friend

Well, healthcare has passed and I hope those of you who still like the Obama "transformation" vision for America will enjoy your new relationship with your own personal IRS agent. Yep, you heard it right. The Government is hiring 17,000 more IRS agents - all for the sole purpose of making sure you have a healthcare insurance policy, whether you want/need one or not. And if you don't? Then you get fined - $2000 or a percentage of your income, which ever is more.

Big Brother Is Alive And Well. In fact, Big Brother is the only sector of the economy that is growing! Go figure. What happened to all those radical '60's types who dispised Big Brother. Oh, they grew up and became Big brother. How ironic! And now they want to be more opressive than the Big Brother they detested. God has such a sense of humor!

All of you who look to this Big Brother style of an America are all just a bunch of little girls and little boys looking for "mom" or "dad" to hold your hand. Pathetic! Grow up! Grow a set! Have some backbone! THINK!!!! Or does all that college education prevent independent thought? You probably can't answer that; the answer wasn't in one of your college text books!

You progressive lemmings sicken me. You sicken a great number of Americans who are truly patriotic. Unlike you, who claim to be "patriotic" because the lame definition of patriotism you learned from your progressive professors allows you to rationalize your sense of self, and your ability to live with what you have wrought on America.

Well, I hope you are ready for the consequences! Did they teach you that at your progressive institutions? That there are consequences to actions? Probably not. Their style of irresponsible education breeds irresponsibility. Well, welcome to the real world - and be prepared. The consequences are coming!

God Bless America! And God Bless Us All!

Obelosied - Definition: To Be Thuggishly Strongarmed, Unduly Coerced, Masterfully Manipulated, And Unmercifully Pressured With Great Tenaciity In An Attempt To Force A Pre-Ordained Outcome (i.e. Obama, Pelosi & Ried on Obamacare)

Yes we've been Obelosied by the Obama/Pelosi/Ried Trio. We are now officially a government of the few, for the few, by the few. How does it feel? Can't feel the difference can you? That just means that this progressive agenda and impending takeover of our liberties has been going on for a long, long time. We've all become numb.

I hope those of you who have not engaged this battle are happy; those of us who have engaged it are appalled at the scope of arrogance permeating Washington. Rest assured the battle will not end here.

And to prove my arrogance point further, no sooner have these three felt secure enough in the outcome of the vote for the American healthcare straightjacket they are placing us all in, than they announced their next big piece of the puzzle for forced socialism on America. Stay tuned, I expect the rumblings of unrest will continue to swell as strategies are planned to wrest America back from the maniacal Trio.

Stand your ground at every opportunity - from the smallest incident to the largest and most visible. It will soon be time to march once again on Washington. This time it will require planning and an agenda. I can't imagine 70% of America will turn their back on her now, so be prepared when the time comes.

Is It Historic? Or Just Idiotic... A Page Out Of The Great Divider's Playbook

Well, Stupak caved. The Dems have been "handled" beautifully by the Obama/Ried/Pelosi Trio. Obama keeps telling us how "historic" the Obamacare legislation is. Pelosi used the same words when she described the coming vote. All the top Dems were seen falling all over themselves Saturday trying to one-up each other on how "great" a statesman they each were as they worked through the corrupt process of creating this healthcare legislation.

But in reality the Dems are either lying, or misinformed (I choose to believe they are lying) when they talk about this legislation. To anyone watching the process it's obvious that the bill, the scoring for the bill, the cost of the bill, and the deficit reduction attributed to the bill are all being manipulated in an effort to soft sell this to a gullible segment of Americans. In truth, this particular legislation is idiotic! That's not to say that some form of reform is not necessary and welcomed. This is just not it. Biden talks about the government "controlling" the insurance companies. Many Dems talk about this bill just being the "starter home" for bigger and better things - re: bigger government, more control over you and me, and more taxes for starters. But I predict we'll find ourselves somewhere down the road with the mysterious "healthcare lockbox" looted again by big-spending politicians who couldn't keep their greedy little hands out of the cookie jar. It's happened with Medicare and Social Security so it stands to reason that it will happen here - a leopard doesn't change it's spots. Then where will we be?

This may indeed be historic legislation. And when a President puts his legacy before the interest of the country he has sworn to serve and protect, he has committed treason in my view. Such is the case with Barack Hussein Obama. So yes, it is historic, but it is even more idiotic! And, in my view, EVERY American who is in favor of this particular legislation is an idiot as well!

The Great Divider Obama has struck again!

Here's A Good Example Of Progressive Government Interference In Our Lives; And They Want To Control Healthcare? Where Do You Think That Will Lead?

Grow Up!

by Rich Tucker

We see them on the streets and in the mirror: middle-aged men wearing jeans and baseball caps. Grown men, dressing and -- all too often -- acting like boys. So where did we, an immature generation, come from?On a recommendation from George Will, I picked up the book “Men to Boys, The Making of Modern Immaturity” by Gary Cross. Sadly, the book didn’t provide the answer.

Cross provides an in-depth review of American pop culture, which he sees as shaping people’s actions. He observes there were 27 westerns on television in 1959 (and he provides a recap of seemingly each one), and notes that these programs take a far different view of male responsibility than modern programming (think Friends or Family Guy). Fair enough. But pop culture doesn’t drive our lives so much as it reflects our lives.

Consider one of the examples Cross highlights: The series of movies starring Mickey Rooney as “Andy Hardy.” Andy was a clueless but loveable boy, always ready to listen to and learn from the wise advice of his father, a judge. Rooney’s character was a great role model for boys in the 1940s. But if pop culture was an effective driver of human actions, wouldn’t the movies have rubbed off on their star? Instead, Mickey Rooney made a hash of his life -- married eight times, addicted to gambling and drugs, etc.

So there has to be a bigger reason that our view of manhood changed, and that change has allowed Hollywood to change what it offers us. It’s a reason Cross doesn’t choose to delve into. It’s that, starting in the 1960s with the Great Society, government got steadily more involved in our lives.

For most of human history, men have been expected to take care of their families. There have always been exceptions, of course. Cross spends many pages describing Hugh Hefner and the Beat Generation poets as examples of men who opted out of generally accepted adult roles.

Still, the overwhelming majority of American men saw themselves as providers. If a man impregnated a woman, he usually married her. A man went to work and provided for his children. A man didn’t want to take any handouts. That was true in the 1950s, it was true during the Depression, it was true before our country was founded.

But the modern welfare state wrecked all that. Federal programs set out to remove stigmas, and ended up encouraging all kinds of bad behavior. To cite one example, in 1950, only about 4 percent of births were to unwed mothers. That statistic topped 10 percent in the early 1970s, and keeps on climbing. Last year, it hit 40 percent for the first time. A generation of children that grew up without a father in the house raised another generation, which is now raising a third. Small wonder many boys never learn how to be a man.

Bill Cosby writes about growing up in Philadelphia amid working class black families. His parents remained married. Meanwhile, others around the neighborhood kept an eye on things and reported any misbehavior. Those neighborhoods were replaced in the 60s and 70s with massive federal housing projects, where nobody could keep an eye on anything. The stairwells became drug havens, and most residents cowered in their homes rather than maintaining a watch on the children.

Meanwhile, federal welfare policy changed to encourage out-of-wedlock births. Men no longer needed to support their children; the government would do that. So they didn’t. Fatherless children are so common that we read about them without even batting an eye.

A recent Sports Illustrated profile, for example, says that University of Texas basketball player Damion James, “didn’t learn the identity of his father until he was 17, when [his mother] pointed out a man named Jerry Bell, whose five other sons Damion had known growing up without realizing they were his half-brothers.” Even the father was clueless. “My father was never there for me, and I had promised myself I would be there for my kids,” Bell told the magazine. “I just didn’t know Damion was mine.”

It would be a sad story if it was a rare one. The fact that it’s a common story makes it tragic.

This matters, because President Obama and liberals in Congress are working hard to pass a health insurance reform package that would increase our dependence on government. They may have the best of intentions. But as with welfare “reform” and housing “reform,” reform that makes people more reliant on government usually backfires.

Real reform would involve changing the tax treatment of health insurance to create a true market for coverage. People would be expected to behave responsibly and obtain the coverage they wanted. It’s time for our government to trust us. Don’t worry. We’ll behave like men (and women), even if we don’t always dress the part.

Wake Up To Reality America! Progressive Ideology Has Destroyed The Greatness Of America, And Unless We Take A Stand And Take Her Back, She Will Continue To Decline! It's Our Choice!
