"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Rebel, And Make it Quick!

"On every unauthoritative exercise of power by the legislature must the people rise in rebellion or their silence be construed into a surrender of that power to them? If so, how many rebellions should we have had already?" --Thomas Jefferson

This 111th Congress Will Live In Infamy For Decades, If Not Centuries

I am not a "homophobe". But I do believe in some sexual morality. ENDA(merica as we know it) goes way past this, and I object to anyone flaunting their lifestyle because they feel 'protected" or because they have some social agenda they'd like to push on the rest of us. That in intself is morally reprehensible. I object to someone forcing their lifestyle on me - period. It's much like my views on the Jehova Witnesses. I have no problem with anybody's religion either - just don't force yours on me. Although I don't agree with the gay lifestyle, or transgenderism (or any other deviate sexual lifestyle for that matter), I am willing to "live and let live" provided there is discretion on everyone's part. Someone's right to pursue happiness should not infringe upon mine or my children's. I am so very tired of progressives eroding the morals of America through legislation that creates "rights" for some while at the same time eliminating Constitutional rights for the masses. Let's keep what little moral character we still have. And then let's build upon it, and see if we can't, once again, build moral character into the lives of our youngest generations and eliminate the moral madness from the political culture that permeates Washington. Not every behavior is acceptable! There has got to be a moral code. If we do not live according to principles and values, if we do not live by the law of a higher Authority, then what will stop our culture from cascading down into some black moral abyss, never to see the light again? There is so much work that is needed to bring America out of this morasse and back to her former greatness. The 111th Congress is not doing that work. The Obama Administration is not doing that work. Washington is building a wall between us and our liberty, in an effort to "socialize" and 'europeanize" America.  It's been going on - brick by brick - for decades! So, as Ronald Reagan once said, we have been tasked with the challenge to "tear down this wall!" We have begun the process of rebuilding the foundation the Founders gave us so that we can begin that work, but it is a project that will continue well after you and I are gone. So let's rebuild our foundation well!

Read this from the Liberty Council...

Imagine that your child or grandchild came home from school and announced, "Mr. Smith came to school today wearing a dress. Now we have to call my teacher Miss Smith. I thought Mr.Smith was a man!"

Under the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), this scenario not only CAN take place, but individuals like "Miss Smith" would be PROTECTED by LAW from dismissal based upon their "sexual orientation."

ENDA promotes "sexual orientation" to the same protected class as race, creed, color or national origin. It also grants cross-dressers and transsexuals the status of being in a protected class. Under ENDA, every school system would be forbidden by law to squelch anyone demonstrating homosexual or transsexual displays - or face severe discrimination charges.

If ENDA passes, your children or grandchildren could be held captive in classes taught by women who "present" as men or men who "present" as women. Of course, their young and inquisitive minds will be indoctrinated to believe that this is perfectly normal and acceptable behavior.

At its core, ENDA is an orchestrated effort to break down gender identity in our society. Make no mistake:
ENDA is intended to be the next nail in the coffin of American freedom.

Liberty Counsel attorney Matt Barber noted in a Washington Times article this week that morally and legally, "ENDA will force - under penalty of law - Christian, Jewish or Muslim business owners to adopt a secular-humanist viewpoint, ignoring all matters surrounding sexual morality while making hiring and firing decisions."

Matt's article continued, "ENDA would compel business owners with 15 or more employees to leave sincerely held religious beliefs at the workplace door and submit to the demands of the homosexual activist lobby."

If ENDA passes, Christian-owned for-profit businesses employing more than 15 people will be forced to accept applications from individuals whose behavior is in violation of the owners' religious tenets.

Elevating the threat of ENDA passage.

President Obama is using his presidential "bully pulpit" to promote homosexuality, pass ENDA and repeal the Defense of Marriage Act. If you have any doubt of that, just look at one of his recent controversial "recess" appointments...

Chai Feldblum, credited with writing the ENDA legislation, is now the first openly gay commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The Senate stalled for months on approving her controversial nomination, in part because it places her in the uniquely threatening position of having written legislation that she is now empowered to enforce!

Liberty Counsel has strongly opposed Feldblum's appointment to the EEOC since President Obama first announced her nomination. She is on record as stating that when homosexual "rights" issues come in conflict with religious rights, "Gays win, Christians lose."

It is therefore very distressing that the President made her a powerful EEOC Commissioner (one of only five) during a congressional recess, thus avoiding the normal process of Senate approval. It is unlikely she could have passed muster in a Senate confirmation process.

Help Liberty Counsel defend the rights of people of faith.

ENDA is one of the most dangerous pieces of anti-faith legislation ever to be considered by Congress. The next vote on ENDA could take place as early as April 21st. Liberty Counsel is conducting a massive legal and citizen action campaign to fight the pro-homosexual agenda and passage of the ENDA law both nationally and state-by-state.

Our petition calls for Congress to OPPOSE ENDA and stop this travesty from becoming the law of the land. We have almost 140,000 signers to date, but I need to get 250,000 or more signatures in order to strengthen our position against the upcoming strong liberal push in Congress.

Please go here to sign our petition:

After you sign the petition, you'll then be given an opportunity to expand your impact and expedite your message to Congress by using Liberty Counsel's powerful fax barrage. It is vitally important that concerned citizens like you and me begin registering opposition to ENDA as soon as possible - this bill could move very quickly in the ultraliberal 111th Congress!

http://www.libertyaction.org/r.asp?u=27130&RID=23706734

The overt promotion of the homosexual agenda by passing ENDA, repealing the Defense of Marriage Act, and eliminating "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" were all Obama campaign promises. The various Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transsexual (LGBT) organizations have been working with the Obama administration to identify openly LGBT Americans to serve as presidential appointees, with Chai Feldblum's appointment to the EEOC being the most recent among many.

...our religious freedoms are being threatened by ENDA and our family units are being undermined by the threat of repealing DOMA. President Obama's radical appointees, now assigned to strategic positions of governmental leadership, have an undeniable agenda. We have to stop ENDA in Congress NOW!

I urge you to sign our petition opposing the anti-faith Employment Non-Discrimination Act. I am calling on all Liberty Counsel team members to demand that our elected officials oppose ENDA. Once you've signed the petition, you will be given the opportunity to jump-start your message by joining the powerful Liberty Counsel Fax Barrage.

Thank you for standing with Liberty Counsel in our massive legal and citizen action campaign to defeat ENDA!

God Bless You,
Mathew D. Staver, Founder and Chairman
Liberty Counsel

P.S. ENDA is a destructive piece of legislation that will force many employers with deeply-held religious beliefs to submit to a federal law mandating that they hire people whose lifestyles are offensive to them. Go here now to sign our petition opposing ENDA. Thank you!

Whatever You Do, Don't Get Too Depressed...

We just keep mucking it up, and history keeps marching on...

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to thePromised Land."

Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this IS the Promised Land."

Now Obama has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I was so depressed last night thinking about Health Care Plans, the economy, the wars, lost jobs, savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc, . . . I called Lifeline. I got a call center in Pakistan. I told them I was suicidal.

They got all excited and asked if I could drive a truck.... - Anonymous

Not The Results We Need To Change The Direction Obama Is Taking Us

Special Election - Florida

This type of result is not going to help us take back America. It's blatantly obvious through this election that there are still many Americans who are uninformed, misinformed, or just plain haven't the capacity to see the big picture. And the TV and radio are full of propaganda advertisements, so things are just going to get tougher and tougher from here on out.

Granted this Florida District is 2/3rds Democrat, but people need to realize it's not about party any longer. It's about returning America to her roots. The same roots that made her great for 200 years! Why would we want to change that? Why would we want to be like Europe? Shouldn't they be striving to be like us?

So get out and start talking it up! Get your friends to start talking it up too! Not just among themselves, but to people who don't think conservatively. Everyone needs to start collecting converts. It's through that process, the peaceful process, that we need to succeed. Otherwise, the alternative won't be pretty. Here's an article describing the results of the Special Election.

Democrat wins Fla. US House special election

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Republican backlash over President Barack Obama's health care overhaul had little effect in the nation's first U.S. House race of 2010.

Florida Democratic state Sen. Ted Deutch handily won Tuesday's special election to replace retiring Democratic U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler after his underdog GOP opponent attempted to make the contest a referendum on the massive health care bill.

"We've heard for months that tonight ... is a referendum on health care, it's a referendum on the (Obama) administration, it's a referendum on what direction this country is going," Deutch told supporters. "Let me tell you something, what we learned today is that in Broward County and Palm Beach County, Florida, the Democratic Party is alive and well."

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Deutch, an attorney, had 62 percent of the vote compared to 35 percent for Republican Ed Lynch. No-party candidate Jim McCormick trailed far behind with just 3 percent.

Lynch, a 44-year-old West Palm Beach contractor, sought to make the race a statement on the health care bill in District 19, which includes parts of Broward and Palm Beach counties. About 40 percent of voters are senior citizens. But Lynch had a tough task. Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 2-to-1 — 234,000 to about 111,000.

"Obviously, it's not the results that we wanted," Lynch said.
"But it proved that people are willing to get out there and take our country back," he added of his supporters.

Wexler, a self-proclaimed "fire-breathing liberal," left office in January during his seventh congressional term to head a Middle East think tank. He was hugely popular in the district, which voted about 65 percent for Obama in 2008.

Wexler, of Boca Raton, had endorsed Deutch, 44, who will now serve the remaining eight months of Wexler's term, then will have to run in November for re-election.

Lynch had hoped public disdain for the health care bill and low congressional approval ratings would help him upset Deutch, widely seen as the front-runner. He lambasted the health care overhaul as a government takeover and the gutting of Medicare, while Deutch told voters it would provide immediate relief.

Lynch also slammed Obama's stimulus bill as doing little to help the economy and called the president's timetable to withdraw troops from Iraq "moronic." Deutch said he would have voted for the health care overhaul and the stimulus bill and supports Obama's Iraq strategy.

Don't Be Surprised

There is a rumor running through Washington that Hillary Rodham Clinton may get the nomination to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Stephens. Now wouldn't that be interesting. Someone who has vocalized freely that she likens herself to an early 20th century Progressive, getting the nod from Obama. And what are the chances, after all the positions she's held, that she would not be confirmed. The only good thing that would come out of that nomination would be that she is around 60, and would impact judicial Supreme Court rulings for only a quarter century or less! Now that I think of it, I can't see Obama nominating anyone that old...
