"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Did You Notice...?

Health Care Reform is now Health Insurance reform. President Obama has used that term in both of his last two Town Hall meetings, and that's a far cry from comprehensive health care reform (if he's being forthright and truthful). Now, I for one am in agreement that insurance reform is one facet of health care that requires some reform. There are other facets that also need reform. But, the whole health care system does not need to be scrapped, nor does it require reform. Nor could we pay for it if it did. It does not require, nor do I want, a government component, that will undoubtedly be 'grown' over the course of time. But I caution you. This President is the Prince of Spin. He is the Guru of Semantics. So watch this issue closely. I would suggest that the final bill that comes out will not look like an insurance reform bill only, so don't be lulled by his words alone. Contact your Congressmen now, to tell them that we want an opportunity to review ANY bill that comes out, for a minimum of 7 days, before it gets voted on. That will give us the opportunity to contact our Congressmen to let them know how we feel about the bill, before it becomes a law. Stay Vigilant America!
