"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

The Blame Game

Many of you have played on a sports team, coached a sports team, built a management team, or through a management team "coached" an employee workforce. Many of the best coaches have the ability to build loyalty by building personal responsibility and commitment within their respective teams. You would expect that the person we choose to lead our country would have the innate ability through his or her leadership and communication skills to bring people of all classes, colors, races, ethnicity, religions and sexes together in an attempt to make the country stronger. You would expect that the leader of the free world would use tools tapping into our sense of patriotism, pride, and country loyalty to build that coalition. But instead, what this President has done, has been just the opposite. He has been a divisive force in America since he was elected - perhaps even before then. He has publicly blamed and ostracized, at different times in the past 7 months, bank CEO's, insurance companies, the national media, Fox News specifically, conservatives, Republicans, the Bush administration (repeatedly), car company CEO's, "right-wing extremists", and a police officer. Obama has told 1/2 of America to "stop talking, get out of the way", that he doesn't mind cleaning up after us but we're in his way. Are these the actions of a leader? Think back to any person who has been truly respected as a leader - how many of them played the blame game? Is that what we expect now from our leadership? Or is this guy just a community organizer at heart, who knows how to push his weight around, but who has no clue how to lead? I think the latter. By the way, for all of you who are still employed? Today is the last day you have to work to pay this year's tax debt to the government. The rest of the year is all for you!! Hmmm, 7.5 months of work to support the government, 4.5 months of work for ourselves. Who do we blame that on? And how long are we going to allow it? Wake Up America!
