The Suspect Financial Ties Between Alan Grayson And The Florida T.E.A. (political) Party Demand Closer Scrutiny To Determine If Alan Grayson Is Engaged In Corruption In The District 8 Congressional Race.
Press reports of unsavory financial dealings, questionable origins and dubious political associations between The Florida TEA (political) Party and Alan Grayson are a “TEA Stain” on the electoral process and the November ballot that must be cleansed.
ORLANDO, FLORIDA –August 31, 2010 – Corruption in politics is not a contemporary phenomenon. Dirty, self-absorbed, and power hungry politicians have always found a way to stain with their corruption what should only be the cleanest democratic electoral process. The FL District 8 Congressional race provides yet another example of this unfortunate political reality.
As if Alan Grayson’s outrageous vitriolic behavior has not been embarrassing enough to himself and his FL 8 constituents, it appears now that he could be adding corruption to his portfolio of nastiness.
A new political party surfaced in Florida this year. Formed by several Central Florida political operatives, including a former registered Democrat and a disaffected Republican (suspended from the Republican Party in 2009), its organizers named this new political Party “The Florida T.E.A. Party”.
The true and highly visible grassroots happening known to everyone as the Tea Party movement is not and has never been a political party. This new political party is an egregious “TEA Stain” on the good name and hard-earned reputation of the Tea Party movement. The “Florida T.E.A. (political) Party” has no affiliation, and is without endorsement or support from the real Tea Party movement. The use of the Tea Party movement name is nothing more than a simple act of identity theft.
However, though there is a clear lack of any connection between the true Tea Party movement and the “Florida T.E.A. (political) Party”, recent press reports of questionable financial transactions have revealed that this is not necessarily the case between the “Florida T.E.A. (political) Party” and the Alan Grayson campaign. Unfortunately, these unsavory dealings now extend the “TEA Stain” to the November ballot and the entire electoral process in the Florida’s 8th District.
Yesterday it was reported that Alan Grayson will not debate his only major opponent, Republican Daniel Webster, toe to toe, unless Peg Dunmire, the T.E.A. (political) Party candidate and a supposed opponent of Grayson FL 8 is there on stage as well.
This demand does not pass the smell test because it smacks of alliance and not opposition. It is suspicious in that it argues falsely that the two major candidates cannot have a productive and spirited public debate on the issues without the presence of a negligible candidate from a minor party called the T.E.A. (political) Party – a third Party that coincidentally Grayson is suspected of supporting financially.
These alleged corrupt activities demand an immediate investigation – by the press and by election officials. The voters need to know what shenanigans, if any, their elected officials are engaged as they seek their vote.
