"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Stenny Hoyer, A Democracy? Come On!

First let me say that I have no sympathy for any members of Congress. I saw some of the footage of Stenny Hoyer's press conference where he was crying about death threats to members of Congress. All I really have to say on the matter is that actions have consequences. And when Congress defied the American people they should have recognized the peril they were putting themselves in. They think America will forget? Guess again! I really don't care if they have to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives.

But what really is starting to get under my skin is the fact that politicians, including the dishonorable Stenny Hoyer, for years have been calling America a Democracy. We are not a Democracy. We have a democratic form of government, true. But we are a Republic. The difference is that a majority rules in a Democracy, while a Republic is governed representatively.

Now, Stenny old boy, if we were a Democracy, and majority ruled I'd tell you that what that means is a majority of the PEOPLE, not the House and Senate! And I'd tell you that you didn't vote with the majority. But we are a Republic and you are required by our Constitution to represent the PEOPLE! Well, you didn't do that either. And under either form of government you and your croney friends have been derilict in your duty.

I say the sooner you jokers stop misrepresenting facts to the American people, the better off we'll all be. We're tired of inept, corrupt, dishonorable liars in our Congress! Get OUT!

God Bless America!

  1. I know it was a republic. We'll see what the Supreme Court does about the ObamaNation. Maybe a we're still a republic to the extent that Russia was once governed by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics? But the Constitution doesn't hold sway in DC anymore. It's obvious.

    And it's not the people that "threaten" that Stenny Hoyer and the rest of the Democratic parasites in Congress need worry about. I don't recall one assassination in American history from Lincoln to McKinley to Kennedy(s) that was telegraphed by the assassin.
