"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Mirror, Mirror

Maybe today, but certainly by November 1st, the Democrats will look in the mirror... and see Republicans staring back at them. That's where we stand politically. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are mere reflections of each other. When one party is in power, the other points in the mirror and says. "It's them!" And vice versa. For decades the progressive agenda has been advanced by both parties, and the "establishment" inherent in both parties, and the party machinery itself, is designed to distract every day Americans from seeing the truth. Well the truth is out. It has been exposed by the Tea Party, and all the citizens who have woken up to the things that movement has exposed.

We need to start teaching each other, and our children and grandchildren, that Party labels mean nothing in contemporary politics. What does matter is ideology. And you can choose from two, currently. Progressive or conservative. There seems to be no other option. If you choose anything but the conservative ideology, you are choosing to send the country further and further towards socialism. Because without a hard stand this group of progressives who run our government, our educational systems, and our media will not stand down. They will feel emboldened and empowered because people will have failed to take the necessary stand against them.

So it makes no difference what your political affiliation is. What really matters is in what direction do you want the country to move? If you consider yourself a liberal but still love your country and don't want to see socialism-lite, or socialism-pure at some point in the future, you owe it to yourself to vote as conservatively as possible in this election. There really is no other choice.

Do the right thing. Love your country. Honor the memories and lives of those who have died and sacrificed to give you a life in the greatest country on earth - possibly the greatest culture in history - by voting to keep the founding principles of the country intact. And don't abandon your responsibility to get out and VOTE in every election!
