"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

What's The National Debt?

Even our politicians don't know. This morning John McCain claimed it was $40,000 per citizen. Last night in his Response to the State of the Union speech Gov. Robert McDonnell said it was $100,000 per person, and the debt clock has it at $347,000 per person. So do our politicians even know? Are they all using different parameters to make their determinations? And if so, what are we to believe? What is the real truth? I for one am using the debt clock - it's been around a long while! Given that, the outlook for Americans is not good in terms of how much debt is attributed to each of us. It's time not for a "spending freeze" - it's time to cut programs and let Americans get back on their feet on their own! It's time to reduce the government and get them completely out of our lives! Free small businesses to build a job base, take people off dependent government programs, and let the country soar once again! The politics and programs of the past 50 years are not working! How long are we going to use them before we ALL realize that?

Get Up America! There's A Lot Of Work Ahead!!

  1. We now have two governing avenues to travel. One is the diminishing traditional “admire and applaud” system, the Ayn Rand side, and the other, from the Old World, is the growing “envy and punish” system. President Obama favors “envy and punish” and pursues legal means of justifying them both, beyond the limits of our Constitution, which is based upon defending the “admire and applaud” concept. The recent vote in Oregon to tax the small business person out of existence reflects the Obama side of governance, promoting an Old World mercantilist model of government partnering with large business to act as one, leaving the individual pebble dropper out of the loop.
