"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Chicago Political Thuggery Still Quite Evident

In Obama's State of the Union Address last night, he once again resorted to the strong-arm and blame-game tones that he has used repeatedly during his first year in office. He scolded the Democrats for "running for the hills", blamed the past Administrations for "the hole he found himself in", and in an unprecedented abuse of his position as President he inappropriately scolded the Supreme Court for a ruling they made last week that didn't go his way. He threatened that Congress would "fix" that decision with some form of legislation. His attempt to intimidate the Supreme Court, undermine their decision, and influence future rulings is a direct attack on the Constitution of the United States as our Founding Fathers wrote it, and intended it to be.

So, the leopard couldn't hide his spots after all. His agenda remains the same - healthcare reform, Cap & Trade legislation, green jobs, bigger government, and more government spending. I'm relieved that he was unable to present a "different" Barack Obama. I think most people remain with the same opinion of him that they had prior to the speech.

Let's Go America; We Have More Work To Do!
