"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

The Change America Wanted

How arrogant of the Obama Administration to think that what America was thinking and what Obama was selling with his "Change" rhetoric was the same thing. We can't have that level of miscommunication between Washington and the American People. And to think that his arrogance continues just proves that miscommunication between his administration and the American People is alive and well. So here's what we REALLY want Obama.

We want change - yes! But the change we want has nothing to do with dragging us towards a socialistic oligarchy. We want a change in Washington! We want our elected officials to govern with honor and integrity in a way that clearly demonstrates that the interest of the country is the first priority - not their own, nor that of any lobby group with deep pockets! We want to see our elected officials eliminate the corruption and congressional perks that have become standard fare in Washington. We want to see 2000 page, lawyer-speak bills that can't be understood by anyone (including the politicians in Washington) eliminated from congressional business! We want to hear our politicians take a sincere stand on an issue so we know exactly where they stand and why. We want our politicians to speak loudly of why we are the greatest nation on earth, and to inspire us to be even better - all the while increasing our feelings of patriotism. We want the change that will allow us to remember where we came from, why we fought and died for two centuries, and how we will continue to successfully be the beacon of liberty that all peoples around the world need and want.

So yes, Obama, many Americans voted for change. But the change you've provided (and continue to want to provide) is NOT what they voted for. Your rhetoric is stale, your agenda and policies are stolen from past administrations, and your presidency is a wisp of what it should be.

Wake Up Mr. President; You Have A Lot Of Work To Do To Set Things Right!

  2. Good point! The winds of change are gathering, and November should bring huricane-like devestation to Congress. I doubt we'll recognize Congress for what it was given the amount of change that will occur, but it will be welcomed if the people elected can hold fast to their souls.
