Conservative First - Party Affiliation Does Not Matter

Conservatism isn't about a lack of compassion. Conservatives care about people just as much as anyone calling themselves a liberal does, though the progressives want you to believe just the opposite. And that's because that's how they build their base. "Young brains full of mush", a Rush Limbaughism for those of you who don't know, and with precious little life experience feel that what the progressives say is right. But In my opinion young brains need to think, more than they need to feel. Conservatism is about values and morals, about principle and integrity - seen much of that from liberals and liberal organizations lately? Conservatism is about Liberty and personal freedom. It's about allegiance to the country, not a party. It's about preventing and eliminating corruption in government, not enabling it. It's about repealing laws that are restrictive, and instead educating people about the issues. It's about freedom of behavior, with consequences when laws are violated. And it's about discussing issues with logic and fact, not name calling and vitriol. Hmmm, maybe conservatives care even more than liberals , but that's an ideological argument for another day.
