"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Our Next Targets

Pass this list to the people you know - especially those not quite as active in the blogging/political world as we may be. Here are the 32 Senators who are up for re-election in 2012. We must work hard these next two years to ensure that all the Democrats, both Independents, and several Republicans are cut loose in 2012. But for the next two years, let's hold their feet to the fire! After what happened in Florida this year, my Senator, Bill Nelson, must be sitting on pins and needles! He has been very unresponsive to my expectations over the past two years, despite repeated coaching from me! Maybe the election woke him up, we'll see. Somehow I doubt it. But given what I saw this year, I'm not sure why a majority would vote to retain him in 2012. I surely hope not, he is not a friend of the Constitution or conservatives. Is your Senator here?

Daniel Akaka, Democratic Senator from Hawaii
Jeff Bingaman, Democratic Senator from New Mexico
Sherrod Brown, Democratic Senator from Ohio
Maria Cantwell, Democratic Senator from Washington
Benjamin Cardin, Democratic Senator from Maryland
Thomas Carper, Democratic Senator from Delaware
Robert Casey, Jr., Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania
Kent Conrad, Democratic Senator from North Dakota
Dianne Feinstein, Democratic Senator from California
Kirsten Gillibrand, Democratic Senator from New York
Amy Klobuchar, Democratic Senator from Minnesota
Herb Kohl, Democratic Senator from Wisconsin
Joe Mancin, Democrat, Senator from West Virginia
Claire McCaskill, Democratic Senator from Missouri
Robert Menendez, Democratic Senator from New Jersey
Ben Nelson, Democratic Senator from Nebraska
Bill Nelson, Democratic Senator from Florida
Debbie Stabenow, Democratic Senator from Michigan
Jon Tester, Democratic Senator from Montana
Jim Webb, Democratic Senator from Virginia
Sheldon Whitehouse, Democratic Senator from Rhode Island
Joseph Lieberman, Independent Senator from Connecticut
Bernard Sanders, Independent Senator from Vermont

Here are the Republicans that I think we should be sending home in 2012 without question:

Bob Corker, Republican Senator from Tennessee
John Ensign, Republican Senator from Nevada
Richard Lugar, Republican Senator from Indiana
Olympia Snowe, Republican Senator from Maine

Here are Republican Senators who require watching, can we find better candidates for them?

John Barrasso, Republican Senator from Wyoming
Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republican Senator from Texas
Jon Kyl, Republican Senator from Arizona

And these Senators I think we should keep (though they require some scrutiny as well).

Scott Brown, Republican Senator from Massachusetts
Orrin Hatch, Republican Senator from Utah
Roger Wicker, Republican Senator from Mississippi

Stand With God, Stand For Liberty, Prepare To Fight For Both!
