"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

What This Is Really ALL About

The Deadrise - dailypress.com: "Loggerhead turtles to be listed as endangered-species

The federal government wants to list the loggerhead turtle as an endangered-species, a designation that could boost the terrapin but place new regulations on marine activity.

The massive turtles, which visit the Chesapeake Bay every summer, have been classified as a threatened species since 1978. They have been in decline since the late 1990s, said Jack Musick, a professor emeritus and sea turtle expert at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Among the reasons: they are snagged in fishing nets and their nesting areas have been damaged, he said.

An endangerment declaration will likely place more restrictions on marine activity, such as dredging and fishing, Musick said.

Stay tuned for more details."

What this really means is the Obama Administration is doing an end around that will prevent us from offshore drilling anywhere this turtle swims. Another obstacle to ensuring energy self-sufficiency! Once again, we have the tail wagging the dog, as the "environmental movement" is being used by the government to control the rights and welfare of hundreds of millions of Americans!

Have you started to engage politically? Have you stayed engaged? Will you continue to take the time to write, call or email your Congressmen and the White House? Do you have the stamina for the long haul? I said months ago this struggle we're in will last years. I'm revising that prediction. It will last our lifetimes and beyond! If you don't believe that, you haven't been reading, listening or learning! Get involved. Knowledge is power! Don't let America as we know her slide into history because of your apathy.

Come On America! There's Lots of Work Ahead!

  1. Yeah, these people don't care anymore about the environment than you or me. Just think of Pelosi flying all over the place in that private jet of hers, spewing all of that carbon, or even Al Gore for that matter. They're just using the environment as a ploy to wrest power from the people, and have control over everything.

    I think a lot of people on our side of the fence have this feeling of helplessness, because Congress and the White House routinely override the wishes of the people. You could write some of these people until the cows come home, and it won't change a thing. They're going to vote their way no matter what.

    And, as far as Glenn Beck is concerned. He tries to portray himself as one of us, but let's face it. He's making $18 million a year to rant and rave on TV and radio. If he really cares about this country, he should walk away from that multi-million dollar salary and run for public office.

    Just my $0.02!

  2. I don't think helplessness is a feeling we should be embracing right now. Where would the Civil Rights Movement have ended up if people of that era allowed their feelings of helplessness to immobolize them? What about women fighting for the right to vote? Many generations have faced significant challenges, and most have overcome them. Why should we be any diffrent? My strategy is to write my Senators and Rep on every issue (sometimes multiple times), and require a response. They will know exactly what I expect, and the consequences of not meeting those expectations. Granted, it will take some time to rid Congress of ALL the losers who have been allowed to create careers there, but we have to start working towards that goal at some point. Now is that point. I only pray it isn't too late, and to be honest, I don't believe God would allow us no chance at winning. So the game is in our hands. Get involved, stay involved, vote at every opportunity, and get others involved and make them vote as well. If someone isn't willing to do all that, then in my opinion, they are part of the problem and need to rethink their positions and what they want for a country. Enough of the soap box. Glad you stopped by and left a comment. Please do so again, at any time.

    Oh, by the way, I have no problem with anyone making money. And for me persoanlly? I like Glenn Beck exactly where he is. At least he can teach us real history, and has the resources to investigate what's really going on! Be well!

  3. I do agree with what you said. Doing nothing accomplishes nothing. I guess I'm just frustrated with the whole thing.

    Another thing that really concerns me, is according to a study released by the American Enterprise Institute I think, which said that 60% of Americans receive more from the government than they pay in, and according to Mr. Beck himself, 40% don't pay income tax at all. These are the people that are going to want every entitlement and free ride out there. After all, they're not paying for it. Consequently, they're going to vote for whoever promises to give them the most stuff, not necessarily who is better for the country. It all goes back to the quote you have from Ben Franklin at the top of your website. I'm not sure how we combat this issue.

    At any rate, I will bookmark your blog and would like to come back and visit from time to time. Thanks for having it. Take care.
