"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

The Future, As I See It, Isn't Going To Be Pretty

The entitlements will stop, or the economy will collapse. I believe one of these two things will take place within a relatively short period of time. Three years? Ten years, 25 years? I don't know, but the status quo is unsustainable. We can not continue to spend more money than we have. We can't continue to borrow money from the world - most countries don't have it either. We can't continue to print it, because uncontrolled inflation will be the result. So let's examine the two alternatives listed above.

First, let's stop entitlements. This will help reduce spending considerably, but it is a hard choice for ANY politician to make because it will lead to a huge constituency voting against that individual (or individuals). It will also lead to a wave of crime and civil unrest as those individuals who lose their entitlement benefits try to provide for their families. As more unrest unfolds, and crime increases, rioting will become the norm across the nation and martial law will be imposed. This will lead to increased violence. Not a great scenario...

Secondly, the economy will collapse. This will allow for a period of time when the masses can continue to hide their heads in the sand, but will ultimately reach the same result - but on a broader scale - as described above with the ending of entitlement programs.

I don't see any other options. The hippies of the 60's, who, along with their ideology now drive the direction of the country, have sent us spiraling down this abyss. Those same individuals have pressured politicians for the past 50 years to pass law after law that has affected the liberty enjoyed in this country for the previous 200 years. They did so under the guise of "helping" the little guy - you and me, while at the same time infiltrating the higher level learning institutions, the media, the government leadership, and many other less influential, information streams that have impact on our thinking. The politicians have been loath to take a pro-liberty stance because they have ALL wanted to be re-elected into career positions in the Senate and the House. For 50 years they have ALL put their interests ahead of the interests of the country - and now it's time to pay the piper.

There is much work to be done to save liberty and by extension, America. It will not be pretty. We are less prepared in many ways to contend with the economic difficulty that awaits most of us. I predict that in many ways it will be a more difficult period of time, for a more extended period of time, than the Great Depression. I suggest you start preparing now for that eventuality. If I am wrong, there is no harm done. But what if I am right?

Wake Up America! More Problems Loom On The Horizon! Stay Vigilant!

  1. The more I see what has, is and will come to pass, the more I realize that there’s a VERY big plan, that has been in the works for a long, long time, that is about to be forced into fruition. They’re forced to compress their timetable because they have a lot of havoc to wreak before the elections in November – it’s basically “do or die” time for them now.
    When I first started reading your post, I thought you were going to say 3 weeks...I think it will be closer to 3 months...
    Don’t get me wrong – I have no love for the Stupids either – they haven’t been a true “opposition party” for many decades. We really don’t have a “2-party” system – we just have 2 branches of “The Government Party.” Personally, I no longer fear a collapse. The sooner it comes, the sooner the street-level Looters get to work destroying themselves, the sooner we Producers can get back to work rebuilding our Government on its founding principles.

  2. Actually, I also look forward to the collapse, and for the same reasons. It will send a huge message across the globe that freedom and liberty - and the government established by our founders - all work. Unfortunately, I also fear the destruction that will occur during that phase of our history. I know that previous generations have found the necessary strength to meet the challenges they faced - the revolution, the civil war, the Great Depression - and I pray those living today's history will also be strong enough for this nation to meet the challenge, persevere, and come out the other side better in the log run. I'm counting on it...
