Do We Stand A Chance?

We're in the apathy stage, and whether you believe it or not we're rapidly approaching the bondage stage again. Read your history folks. Read about serfdom in the 1500's in Europe. When you do, ask yourself it that's something you want your children to live through. If the answer is no, stay connected and engaged. Continue to contact your Senators and Reps. Again today a sitting Congressman has announced his retirement. This time it's Patrick Kennedy from Rhode Island. These people are afraid of 'we the people', folks- perhaps for the first time in their lives. Certainly for the first time in mine. And only the arrogant and extremely corrupt, or the principled and honorable will be left come election day. Your mission is to determine which is which...

Not making excuses for PK or other retiring polititions, but why and the h_ll would any of them want to stick around. The damage has been done. Any path Reid and Polosi takes them down because they personally are too weak to fight against is moot and only hastens the end result.(apathy) They see the writing on the wall of collapse and they just don't want to be a part of it!

They're already complicit in the destruction, Roots. But like the weasels they are, they're going to slink out of town so they don't have to share the blame... The history books will show these slimeballs (from both parties) for who and what they are, provided our side wins this ideological battle.

These are the musings, opinions, and yes, the rants of a concerned American citizen. They are published for your entertainment, enlightenment and information, but mostly to make you think and make you question. I refuse to be labeled politically - I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I am a conservative American and a supporter of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. I believe in the Constitution and The Bill of Rights as they were written. I do not believe they are "living" documents, but the concrete foundation of America. I have witnessed, over the past 45 years, a slow but constant erosion of the ideals and principles that made our country the greatest nation on earth - ever. That erosion has intensified dramatically in recent years, but particularly in 2009 and 2010. And while we may have slowed that erosion through the elections in 2010, we have yet to stop the flow of progressive sewerage that causes that erosion! There have been other great civilizations, but none that have contributed so much to world evolvement in such a short period of time. And as you undoubtedly have realized, none of them are around today. I don't want that same fate to visit America. I loved the America I grew up in; I miss that America today. I have done a lot of research, and in a word, Progressivism has deminished her, and continues to erode her strength. If we do not actively engage in the process to stop and reverse the erosion, she will be destroyed. And history will compare her to a beautiful shooting star - gone, all too soon.
