"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin;
"And when politicians find that honor and character matter less than buying votes and a constituency, that too will herald the end of the Constitution. When that happens we must work tirelessly to change their minds, or their occupation!" - Hoping The Blind Will See

Will There Always Be A Merry Christmas?

I'm not certain who wrote the initial version of this, it may have been my sister. But I've changed it slightly to make my point. Be weary when you encounter political correctness; it will not help us when all is said and done...

Twas the month before Christmas*

*When all through our land,*

 *Not a Christian was praying*

 *Nor taking a stand.*

*Why the PC Police had argued away,*

*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*

*But the children were told at their schools not to sing,*

*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*

*People's feelings could suffer, the teachers would say*

 * As they re-emphasized,  ' just a fun Holiday '.*

*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*

*Pushing folks to the floor in their greedy rush to get it!*

*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*

*Something was changing, something quite odd! *

 *Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*

*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*

*As Target's were hanging their trees upside down*

 * At Lowe's the word Christmas - just couldn't be found.*

*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*

*You won't hear the word Christmas; nope, won't touch your ears.*

 *Inclusive and Sensitive and Di-veristy*

*Are words that they used to intimidate me.*

*So Daschle, and Darden, and Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*

*And Boxer, and Rather, and Kerry, and Clinton!*

*At the top of the Senate, were all full of chatter*

*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*

*We spoke not a word, as they removed our faith*

 * They Forbid us to speak of salvation and grace*

*And the sharing of the truth ended before we could start it.*

*The true Reason of Christmas, exchanged and discarded*

*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your Tree*

*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*

*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, Not Happy Holiday...*

Please, let's all join together and wish everyone you meet during the Christmas Season a MERRY CHRISTMAS and remember the 25th is about the Birth of Christ. And remember also that we have an obligation as Christians to acknowledge our faith without shame! Hold fast to your faith, and shout Merry Christmas to ALL this year!

Wake Up America!!

  1. Tomorrow my family and I go to see the "Christmas" lights switched on in Cambridge, my daughter is rehearsing for a "Christmas" play and the Infant School shall perform the Nativity for the whole school. So we're still pretty traditional in this corner of England though I do hear rumours of "Winterval Holidays" and "Happy Holidays" cards - horrible. The irony is that it doesn't appear that people from other faiths want Christmas to be abandoned. Two of our Muslim friends sent us Christmas cards last year and our Hindu friends always have a tree and presents.

  2. Well in America, you'd be surprised that there are places where the nativity can not be set up, where Christmas trees are not allowed for fear of offending someone, and where "Merry Christmas" would also be "inappropriate". God help us all!
