So many people are sick and tired of what has been happening in this country - not only by our government, but by those who lobby them, and who are coerced by them. It is SO refreshing to see people from all walks of life speaking out without fear of reprisal about their feelings on the subjects dear to them. Socialism will not fly in America! It won't be allowed. It may be attempted; it may be rammed down our throats by out of control politicians; it may be taught in our schools and programmed into the minds of our children. But in the end, we WILL NOT allow it. It's that simple.
I had given up my AARP membership several months ago as well. I hope everyone who reads this will do the same. The less money they have to spend against us, the better. There are other alternatives out there with whom seniors can get involved. Choose wisely!

Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.
While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it's abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.
Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!
We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.
This Presidential Administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. But even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don't have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.
Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our 'house', invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them.

American home invaders get arrested. Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?
We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America . Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven.
We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you.
I am disappointed as hell.

Who Gave This Speech?
No one, but wouldn't it be great if someone did? Here it is...
"My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed. Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete. This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.
Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short . The United Kingdom, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia, and Poland are some of the countries listed there.
The other list contains every one not on the first list. Most of the world's nations are on that list.. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.
Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Iraqi
war. THEN EVERY YEAR THERE AFTER IT'll GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WON’T GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS.
The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world Hell holes and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption. Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call
France.
In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth. Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France or maybe China.
I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bonne chance, mes amies.
I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this.. You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love New York

It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and it own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, 'darn tootin.'
Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thank you guys. We owe you and we won't forget.

It was unclear, however, if the Arctic emissions of methane gas were new or had been going on unnoticed for centuries -- since before the Industrial Revolution of the 18th century led to wide use of fossil fuels that are blamed for climate change.
The study said about 8 million tonnes of methane a year, equivalent to the annual total previously estimated from all of the world's oceans, were seeping from vast stores long trapped under permafrost below the seabed north of Russia.
"Subsea permafrost is losing its ability to be an impermeable cap," Natalia Shakhova, a scientist at the University of Fairbanks, Alaska, said in a statement. She co-led the study published in Friday's edition of the journal Science.
The experts measured levels of methane, a gas that can be released by rotting vegetation, in water and air at 5,000 sites on the East Siberian Arctic Shelf from 2003-08. In some places, methane was bubbling up from the seabed.
Previously, the sea floor had been considered an impermeable barrier sealing methane, Shakhova said. Current methane concentrations in the Arctic are the highest in 400,000 years.
GLOBAL WARMING
"No one can answer this question," she said of whether the venting was caused by global warming or by natural factors. But a projected rise in temperatures could quicken the thaw.
"It's good that these emissions are documented. But you cannot say they're increasing," Martin Heimann, an expert at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Germany who wrote a separate article on methane in Science, told Reuters.
"These leaks could have been occurring all the time" since the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago, he said. He wrote that the release of 8 million tonnes of methane a year was "negligible" compared to global emissions of about 440 million tonnes.
Shakhova's study said there was an "urgent need" to monitor the region for possible future changes since permafrost traps vast amounts of methane, the second most common greenhouse gas from human activities after carbon dioxide.
Monitoring could resolve if the venting was "a steadily ongoing phenomenon or signals the start of a more massive release period," according to the scientists, based at U.S., Russian and Swedish research institutions.
The release of just a "small fraction of the methane held in (the) East Siberian Arctic Shelf sediments could trigger abrupt climate warming," they wrote.
The shelf has sometimes been above sea level during the earth's history. When submerged, temperatures rise by 12-17 degrees Celsius (22-31 F) since water is warmer than air. Over thousands of years, that may thaw submerged permafrost.
About 60 percent of methane now comes from human activities such as landfills, cattle rearing or rice paddies. Natural sources such as wetlands make up the rest, along with poorly understood sources such as the oceans, wildfires or termites.
Most studies about methane focus on permafrost on land. But the shelf below the Laptev, East Siberian and Russian part of the Chuckchi Sea is three times the size of Siberia's wetlands.

Fiscal Crisis: Tea Partyers have made it clear they don't trust politicians — Democrat or Republican. Their historic uprising may now have a surefire way to stop politicians from spending us into the abyss.
In what promises to be a consequential election year, Republican leaders are eager to get the masses who make up the Tea Party movement on their side. But Tea Partyers remember that the GOP Congress and GOP president themselves spent way too much — even expanding the fiscally doomed Medicare entitlement program. Some Tea Party leaders even accuse Republican spendthrifts of practicing socialism.
GOP Reps. Jeb Hensarling of Texas, Mike Pence of Indiana and John Campbell of California may have just hit on a way of focusing the energy of a movement that's been accused by Democrats such as former Senate aide and Forbes columnist Dan Gerstein of being "incoherent, indiscriminate" and "all over the place" in its complaints.
The three have proposed a Spending Limit Amendment to the Constitution that would restrain the federal government to the average expenditures of the post-World War II era — 20% of the U.S. economy. It would take a declaration of war or a two-thirds vote by Congress to waive the spending constraints.
Tea Partyers will no doubt be impressed by the fact that the idea comes from no less than Thomas Jefferson. In 1798, the Declaration's author wrote: "I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution. I would be willing to depend on that alone for the reduction of the administration of our government."
There really is no credible argument against the idea. In common-sense fashion, the constraint would be suspended during a declared war, and any other real emergency would surely be recognized as such by two-thirds of lawmakers.
Other attempts to save Americans from the drunken sailors they send to Washington have failed. The automatic cuts of the Gramm-Rudman "sequester" of the 1980s worked, but the Supreme Court judged much of the law to be an unconstitutional restriction on presidential powers, and Congress defanged it. Gramm-Rudman's successor, Paygo, didn't use fixed targets, and expired in 2002. The line-item veto was famously ruled unconstitutional by the high court.
The Hensarling-Pence-Campbell Spending Limit Amendment is actually preferable to the line-item veto because it doesn't discriminate between big-spending Congresses and profligate presidents. It snaps the public purse closed on every Washington politician's fingers.
The SLA couldn't come at a more opportune time. The president and Congress want to add to our current $12 trillion in national debt a $2-trillion-plus big government health overhaul. Medicare, in the meantime, is less than a decade from bankruptcy, Social Security less than three decades away. As the plan points out, "if the SLA is not adopted, all of these programs are doomed on their current auto-pilot glide path as these three entitlement programs alone — Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid — are set to consume the entirety of the federal budget by 2036."
Investor's Business Daily on Wednesday asked Hensarling and Pence about the difficulties of getting three-quarters of the states to approve an amendment when so many amendment attempts by both sides of the aisle — from equal rights for women to abortion to flag desecration — have failed in recent decades.
"We're not naive," Hensarling said, noting that of about 5,000 proposed amendments only 27 have been ratified. But both men said that based on attending town halls and other venues, they have never seen the American people so incensed about runaway spending. The SLA "might be one of those simple ideas," Pence said, whose time has finally come.
If the Tea Party movement embraces this simple idea, with Thomas Jefferson as the SLA's avatar, there's no telling how big the political tsunami to strike Washington could end up becoming.

Holder has hired NINE attorneys who have represented or advocated for terrorist detainees. He won't release the names of seven of those attorneys. Why? What's he hiding? What's he afraid of? Do you still trust this government? They are so openly against increased liberty. They are so strongly pro big government. This entire group - the President, both houses of Congress, cabinet members, and appointees have got to go. And that can't happen soon enough for me!

I AGREE with Sen. Bunning and I want Congress to FULLY FUND any new spending!
I expect that you will support Senator Bunning unconditionally in his stand on this issue, and I would also expect that you would do so publicly. I further believe that you should be leading the movement to embrace EVERY avenue available to DECREASE the amount of money spent annually by our government and to ELIMINATE the deficit entirely. If you fail to do either, you are remiss in your responsibility as a Senator to "uphold and protect" the Constitution because you are condoning the existence of conditions that undermine that document - and our very Liberty.
Do your job and make the tough choice! America depends on it!

They Aren't Going Away Anytime Soon
The Progressives, who for years have silently and with great subtlety infiltrated our schools and our government, and who have brainwashed a generation or two of our children's minds, know that they are now in the fight of their lives. They understand that "average" America has woken up to the fact that a great disservice has been foisted upon us by progressives- Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike - and that we need to fight back in order to salvage the freedoms and rights our Founders provided to us through the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Progressives thought they could continue to slowly build their system around and through the capitalist system America has enjoyed for centuries, but they ran into a problem. They miscalculated the response to the misguided arrogance of Obama, Reid and Pelosi, which has gotten out of hand and they've lost control of the "game". Now the horse is out of the barn, and they can't close the door. So we're all in a fight for America. Us to preserve the Constitution, and them to Transform America. Our way will lead to more freedom and liberty; theirs will lead to socialism, decline and the eventual destruction of arguably the greatest country the world has ever seen. You'll need to decide which side your on, but make it fast. The coming storm is fast approaching...

The Future, As I See It, Isn't Going To Be Pretty
The entitlements will stop, or the economy will collapse. I believe one of these two things will take place within a relatively short period of time. Three years? Ten years, 25 years? I don't know, but the status quo is unsustainable. We can not continue to spend more money than we have. We can't continue to borrow money from the world - most countries don't have it either. We can't continue to print it, because uncontrolled inflation will be the result. So let's examine the two alternatives listed above.
First, let's stop entitlements. This will help reduce spending considerably, but it is a hard choice for ANY politician to make because it will lead to a huge constituency voting against that individual (or individuals). It will also lead to a wave of crime and civil unrest as those individuals who lose their entitlement benefits try to provide for their families. As more unrest unfolds, and crime increases, rioting will become the norm across the nation and martial law will be imposed. This will lead to increased violence. Not a great scenario...
Secondly, the economy will collapse. This will allow for a period of time when the masses can continue to hide their heads in the sand, but will ultimately reach the same result - but on a broader scale - as described above with the ending of entitlement programs.
I don't see any other options. The hippies of the 60's, who, along with their ideology now drive the direction of the country, have sent us spiraling down this abyss. Those same individuals have pressured politicians for the past 50 years to pass law after law that has affected the liberty enjoyed in this country for the previous 200 years. They did so under the guise of "helping" the little guy - you and me, while at the same time infiltrating the higher level learning institutions, the media, the government leadership, and many other less influential, information streams that have impact on our thinking. The politicians have been loath to take a pro-liberty stance because they have ALL wanted to be re-elected into career positions in the Senate and the House. For 50 years they have ALL put their interests ahead of the interests of the country - and now it's time to pay the piper.
There is much work to be done to save liberty and by extension, America. It will not be pretty. We are less prepared in many ways to contend with the economic difficulty that awaits most of us. I predict that in many ways it will be a more difficult period of time, for a more extended period of time, than the Great Depression. I suggest you start preparing now for that eventuality. If I am wrong, there is no harm done. But what if I am right?

Hey Karzai, Are You A Moron?
On Saturday, President Hamid Karzai had urged NATO to do more to protect civilians during combat operations to secure Marjah.
How about Karzai gets off his high horse and directs all civilians out of the area? How about we give them 7 more days to leave, and then we tell them anyone left will be considered an enemy combatant? Then how about we take pro-active measures to win this war!?
Seems like a no brainer to me, and yet here we are with the President of Afghanistan asking us to be careful of Afghan "civilians" in a WAR ZONE!!!!!
Get a grip!!!
