What About The Poor?
How much have you heard over the past 15-20 years about "corporate greed", the rising number of homeless persons, the poverty level, and "redistribution of wealth"? Certainly more recently, but it has been a mantra of the progressive left for decades. So here are some facts.
According to government records, in 1959 almost 39 1/2 million Americans were below the poverty level (22.4% of the total population). In 14 years, by 1973, that number decreased to below 23 million (11.1% of the total population) as the economy, and life in capatalistic America continued to improve.
Then a funny thing happened. The poverty level began to rise. Despite (or perhaps because of) the attempts by liberals to "help the poor" with social programs like welfare, affirmative action, WIC, forced minimum wage, the creation of the EEOC, etc. By 2006 nearly 36 1/2 million Americans were classified below the poverty level. The level has been rising steadily since 1973, peaking at over 39 million Americans in 1993 (under Bill Clinton and super-majority democratic status in Congress) - right where we were in 1959. How is it possible that all these programs designed to help the poor and eliminate poverty have resulted in just the opposite? Well, let's see. During this entire period, the make-up of Congress (both the Senate and the House), that controls the creation, passage and funding of all bills, was predominately DEMOCRAT! There have been 26 Congresses between 1959 and 2006. The Democrats have controlled all but 6! And there were 18 of the 20 they controlled where the balance of power resulted in a super majority (between 298 - 363 members). Never have the Republicans controlled more than 286 seats! So does this tell you anything?
In terms of your prosperity, your freedoms, your liberty, our soveriegnty, our very lives, Democrats/Liberals/Progressives are NOT our friends! The facts are clear. These people are clueless when it comes to making our lives better. So it's also pretty clear that we want less government, not more. Oh, and by the way, these people want to create a new social healthcare system? Laughable!

Thinking about these and other statements made by the man who wears the title of president … I keep wondering what country he believes he's president of.
In one of my very favorite stories, Edward Everett Hale's "The Man without a Country," a young Army lieutenant named Philip Nolan stands condemned for treason during the Revolutionary War, having come under the influence of Aaron Burr. When the judge asks him if he wishes to say anything before sentence is passed, young Nolan defiantly exclaims, "Damn the United States! I wish I might never hear of the United States again!"
The stunned silence in the courtroom is palpable, pulsing. After a long pause, the judge soberly says to the angry lieutenant: "You have just pronounced your own sentence. You will never hear of the United States again. I sentence you to spend the rest of your life at sea, on one or another of this country's naval vessels – under strict orders that no one will ever speak to you again about the country you have just cursed."
And so it was. Philip Nolan was taken away and spent the next 40 years at sea, never hearing anything but an occasional slip of the tongue about America. The last few pages of the story, recounting Nolan's dying hours in his small stateroom – now turned into a shrine to the country he foreswore – never fail to bring me to tears. And I find my own love for this dream, this miracle called America, refreshed and renewed. I know how blessed and unique we are.

But reading and hearing the audacious, shocking statements of the man who was recently elected our president – a young black man living the impossible dream of millions of young Americans, past and present, black and white – I want to ask him, "Just what country do you think you're president of?"
You surely can't be referring to the United States of America, can you? America is emphatically a Christian nation, and has been from its inception! Seventy percent of her citizens identify themselves as Christian. The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution were framed, written and ratified by Christians. It's because this was, and is, a nation built on and guided by Judeo-Christian biblical principles that you, sir, have had the inestimable privilege of being elected her president.
You studied law at Harvard, didn't you, sir? You taught constitutional law in Chicago? Did you not ever read the statement of John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and an author of the landmark "Federalist Papers": "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers – and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation – to select and prefer Christians for their rulers"?
In your studies, you surely must have read the decision of the Supreme Court in 1892: "Our lives and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian."
Did your professors have you skip over all the high-court decisions right up till the mid 1900s that echoed and reinforced these views and intentions? Did you pick up the history of American jurisprudence only in 1947, when for the first time a phrase coined by Thomas Jefferson about a "wall of separation between church and state" was used to deny some specific religious expression – contrary to Jefferson's intent with that statement?
Or, wait a minute … were your ideas about America's Christianity formed during the 20 years you were a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ under your pastor, Jeremiah Wright? Is that where you got the idea that "America is no longer a Christian nation"? Is this where you, even as you came to call yourself a Christian, formed the belief that "America has been arrogant"?
Even if that's the understandable explanation of your damning of your country and accusing the whole nation (not just a few military officials trying their best to keep more Americans from being murdered by jihadists) of "not always living up to her ideals," how did you come up with the ridiculous, alarming notion that we might be "considered a Muslim nation"?
Is it because there are some 2 million or more Muslims living here, trying to be good Americans? Out of a current population of over 300 million, 70 percent of whom are Christians? Does that make us, by any rational definition, a "Muslim nation"?
Why are we not, then, a "Chinese nation"? A "Korean nation"? Even a "Vietnamese nation"? There are even more of these distinct groups in America than Muslims. And if the distinction you're trying to make is a religious one, why is America not "a Jewish nation"? There's actually a case to be made for the latter, because our Constitution – and the success of our Revolution and founding – owe a deep debt to our Jewish brothers.
Have you stopped to think what an actual Muslim America would be like? Have you ever really spent much time in Iran? Even in Egypt? You, having been instructed in Islam as a kid at a Muslim school in Indonesia and saying you still love the call to evening prayers, can surely picture our nation founded on the Quran, not the Judeo-Christian Bible, and living under Shariah law. Can't you? You do recall Muhammad's directives [Surah 9:5,73] to "break the cross" and "kill the infidel"?
It seems increasingly and painfully obvious that you are more influenced by your upbringing and questionable education than most suspected. If you consider yourself the president of a people who are "no longer Christian," who have "failed to live up to our ideals," who "have been arrogant," and might even be "considered Muslim" – you are president of a country most Americans don't recognize.
Could it be you are a president without a country?

How Do We Combat This Scenario?
In light of the fact that PETN explosive was used in the most recent terrorist airline attack, what do we do as civilains and/or professionals to prevent terrorists from using it not on airplanes, but in airports themselves? No one checks carry-ons until passengers reach the security area, so what would stop some terrorist from detonating some PETN in any terminal during a crowded traveling period? And if they did the same in a co-ordinated effort in several airports, it would destroy the airline industry and most likely throw us into a deeper recession - perhaps even a depression. I'm sure the authorities have thought of this, but if they couldn't stop one guy from getting on a plane with this stuff, how do they stop a group of people inside a number of terminals? Perhaps we should have bomb-sniffing dogs at EVERY entrance to every airport terminal. Food for thought. Stay safe!

More Erosion Of Our Freedom, Liberty And Soveriegnty
Once again the Goomba News Network has uncovered some little known information relative to our liberty and soveriegnty. I hope this disgusts you as much as it disgusts me. If this doesn't scare you, then you my friend are a HUGE part of the problem! And I'm not sorry if that offends you. Here it is...
T.F. Stern brings us news of a story that has been breaking through the MSM blockade in the past week. If you haven't noticed, Obama and his thugs have a plan to overwhelm us with an avalanche of challenges to our freedom and liberties. So many challenges that they will overwhelm us, dishearten us, give us too many fronts in our war against Marxism, and give our enemies the ammunition to call us paranoid and dangerous terrorists. This is the ugly. Our laws and Constitution will not apply to Interpol.
Some have suggested that the reason for this highly disturbing move is to make it easier for international charges to be brought against George W. Bush, members of the U.S. military, and other politicians who are deemed by the puppet emperors of the International Criminal Court in the EU to be guilty of 'war crimes' for merely protecting U.S. interests.
An article which may have slipped under the radar was Obama’s amended version of Reagan’s executive order 12425. This information came to me in a round about fashion in my email; however, it would appear that the original article was written by Steve Schippert and Clyde Middleton under the title, Wither Sovereignty. and then linked via The Examiner.com in their article, U.S. Placed Under International Police State . Please take a few minutes to read both articles.
“Last Thursday, December 17, 2009, The White House released an Executive Order "Amending Executive Order 12425." It grants INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) a new level of full diplomatic immunity afforded to foreign embassies and select other "International Organizations" as set forth in the United States International Organizations Immunities Act of 1945.”
Andy McCarthy at National Review asks these crucial, sobering questions of the secretive Obama order:
“Why would we elevate an international police force above American Law? Why would we immunize an international police force from the limitations that constrain the FBI and other American law enforcement agencies? Why is it suddenly necessary to have, within the Justice Department, a repository for stashing government files which, therefore, will be beyond the ability of Congress, American law enforcement, the media, and the American people to scrutinize?”
I don’t claim to have the answers; however, red flags went up in my mind when I considered the implications of such a change. Why change a well thought out policy which had been clearly defined as an appropriate means of supporting an international law enforcement effort while at the same time protecting American interests to a much broader policy which turns over American interests to any entity which has no accountability to Congress, American law enforcement, the media or the American people?
The cumulative efforts by the Obama administration, the not so “little things” which are being done to the foundations of America have the hair on my back standing on end. This is one more reason not to trust the “Community Organizer in Chief” or any of his close advisers.

Obama's Legacy - Civil War?
This article is from the The European Union Times posted on November 28th.
Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to “begin immediately” increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.
According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks “numerous” meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a “last ditch gambit” whose success is “far from certain”.

To the ability of the West’s banking giants to save their Nation’s economies, even worse news came this week with the US ratings giant Standards & Poors issuing a warning that “every single bank in Japan, the US, Germany, Spain, and Italy included in S&P’s list of 45 Global lenders remain unsafe”, a warning which then lead to one of Europe’s largest banks, Société Générale, warning its clients to prepare for a “total Global Economic Collapse”.
To the fears of Obama over the United States erupting into civil war once the full extent of the rape and pillaging of these peoples by their banks and government becomes known to them, grim evidence now shows the likelihood of this occurring much sooner than later, especially in new poll figures showing that Obama’s approval rating among white Americans has now fallen to 39%. A number made more significant when one realizes that the white population of the United States comprises 74% of their estimated 398 million citizens, or put more ominously in these reports as “over 220 million American people armed to the teeth and ready to explode”.
And so fearful has the white population of the United States become that upon the election of Obama to the Presidency he was named as the “Gun Salesman of the Year” by the Outdoor Wire, the US’s largest daily electronic news service for the outdoor industry, who report “panic buying” of weapons and ammunition by those fearful of the destruction of their country at the hands of man they believe is not even an American citizen and had been foisted upon them by their elite classes seeking to enslave them.
Though the coming civil war in the United States is being virtually ignored by their propaganda media, the same cannot be said of Russia, where leading Russian political analyst, Professor Igor Panarin has long warned that the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the US is heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.
Professor Igor Panarin further stated in his warning that “the US Dollar is not secured by anything. The country’s foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse.”
What remains to be seen, and these reports do not speculate upon, is if the citizen-soldiers of the United States will fire upon and kill their fellow countrymen during the coming conflict, but if history is to be our guide clearly shows this will be the case as the once great American Nation continues its headlong plunge into the abyss of history. May God have mercy upon all of them.

Sharia Law, Jihad, and the Holy War
Well folks, it's the end of our first year under Obama. We're about to enter what will probably be viewed historically as one of the most challenging times in America's history to this point. Given all the things America has been through in it's short life span, that is quite a statement. But let's review for a minute. We have an arrogant Congress and Administration recklessly and irresponsibly printing and spending money that we don't have. We have racked up a 12 TRILLION dollar debt, and it's still climbing! And on top of that, notes are coming due in 2010 that we can't pay, and will undoubtedly result in refinancing at a much higher interest rate. That means more taxes, less money to spend, a continued slow economic recovery, and more job losses. We have the government unabashedly backing big labor unions with undisguised payoffs (bribes), and the goverment is empowering unionism to a degree not seen in decades. That is going to lead to more concessions by big and small businesses, putting many of them on the brink of bankruptcy, or out of business - leading to even more job loss. The goverment, and it's intrusion into our lives, is growing at an alarming rate. And unemployment continues to rise. But perhaps the biggest challenge America will face in 2010 will be the Holy War that Muslims are waging against America and the West. Between the actively militant Muslim Extremists, the clandestine Muslim activists, the inciteful Muslim clerics and their propaganda, and the Muslims who are not actively involved in the violence but financially support these actions, Americans are in extreme danger. And unless this Administration, and in fact each and every American, wraps their heads around this concept we are doomed to lose this war. Americans are niave in their belief that Muslims (or many other cultures/religions) have the same level of tolerance for others that we have. Americans stupidly (but without malice) project their morals, their beliefs, and their values onto people(s) of other cultures never realizing that those projections are one of the reasons that other cultures have grown to hate us. That will never change, so we need to learn to accept that our very existence offends the Muslim world, and this Holy War that has been waged against us will have no end. So then the question becomes, "Do we continue to bend over and take it, or do we fight back to win?" If we don't fight back to win - each and everyone of us - then we are doomed to mediocrity and will follow the great Roman Empire into the infamaous bowels of history. What do you want? What do you think your kids, or their kids would want?

Utopia, From A Leftist Perspective
I viewed this first on The Goomba News Network blog (http://itdontmakesense.blogspot.com/). This short video will show you how the Liberal mindset has destroyed the city of Detroit. From it's hey day after WWII, when the auto industry was booming, to the "Model City Program" of Lyndon Johnson's Administration, to decades of consistent liberal mayoral management, to today. Where did Detroit go? And as we continue to elect more and more liberals into Congress, and we continue to believe that liberal (and progressive) agenda's are more humane, more compassionate, and better for the American people, perhaps after viewing this video you will realize that the "liberal dream" is actually a nightmare for ALL of America. Start embracing conservative ideals like personal responsibility, free market enterprise, smaller government, less taxes and less social programs, or we might all end up like Detroit. Destroying A Nation - Barack Obama's Promise of Change
Our Nation Created, Our Nation Destroyed

A group of men, from disparate parts of the American colonies, from varying levels of society and with quite different temperaments and opinions, came together in the late 18th Century to create a nation.
What they achieved was a mixture of the ideas of the philosophies of 17th and 18th Century France, the examples of freedoms gained at certain periods in British history, and some quite radical theories on the freedom of man that came from our own home grown thinkers.
Nothing like it had ever been done in the history of the world.
It was a time for excitement, for fear, for resolve, for imagination, for determination, for daring, yet feelings remained mixed as the majority of these men hoped to the end, i.e., the beginning of the Revolutionary War, that reconciliation with the mother country could still be achieved. Even after the war had started, meetings of the rebels would automatically conclude, as in so many past years, with their raising their glasses for a rousing toast of “God Save the King.”
It was undoubtedly the greatest confluence of minds, both thinkers from past centuries, like Charles Henri de Montesquieu, to those of the time who were espousing freedom from tyranny, like Thomas Paine, to have ever come together in history. All the ideas and concepts put forth by these thinkers, writers, philosophers and political agitators were thoroughly discussed and encapsulated into the timeless documents creating the United States of America that survive and provide the rules for the governance of our nation to this day.
Therein lies the problem.
Until 2009, every President elected to lead this nation has, in fact, strived to abide by the rules in the Constitution; that is, until hope and change came to America. America is currently being governed by an agenda driven group of self regarded elites who are not abiding by any rules other than their own to gain total political power over the American people. This Administration more closely resembles the Politburo than it does what George Washington and the other Founders created to ensure the preservation of the freedoms they fought so hard to achieve.
Let’s see -- shall we compare John Locke and Thomas Paine to Saul Alinsky and William Ayres? Perhaps the Baron de Montesquieu to the Reverend Jeremiah Wright? Or maybe Adam Smith to Obama fave Louis Farrakhan?
One need not say more in presenting the current set of philosophical/political beliefs that guide this Administration. They are striving to achieve what they think you should have, (not for your good, but for their control over you), despite the fact that you don’t want it. As the American people shout to whomever will listen of their complete disgust with the outright thievery of the stimulus bill, serious consideration by Obama and his cohorts in Congress is being given to pass yet another one. As support, (which was never very high), by the American public for the abomination that is Obama health care reform, (both bills), plummets to 40%, Obama and his fellow elites just ignore and lie to the American people as they continue in whatever illegal and unconstitutional ways they can think of to ensure that we are imprisoned in this nightmarish system. Americans, in large part, love their nation, and are proud of what America has been and has done in this world. Obama, who does not feel this way, completely ignores this and as the most traveled president at this point in his term in our history, consistently belittles the many great achievements of the United States and humiliates, denigrates, and apologizes for, America everywhere he goes. And he has been wrong, in each and very such circumstance. Imagine our collective surprise, for example, when we found out that the only reason America became involved in bringing down the Berlin Wall, thus freeing the population of half of Europe, was to have made it possible for the election of the first African American president?
This president is perennially cringe-inducing. In yet another example of this, just days after proof was abundantly revealed of the complete fraud that is and always has been ‘climate change,’ what does Obama do? He changes his mind and announces that he is going to the international climate change conference in Copenhagen, after all!
It is just as stunning to watch this Administration working so hard on a daily basis, (they know they don’t have much time), to destroy this nation, as it is to observe the mainstream media working with equal diligence to make sure that this Administration succeeds in this effort. The media is, at this stage, not just complicit in what Obama and his people are doing, they are actively and frantically assisting them. The leg tinglers are not only refusing to report on any news that reflects negatively on Obama, and work overtime to try to annihilate any conservative or republican, even if they are not in office, they are now also refusing to even report real news stories they don ‘t want known. If I remember correctly, the opposite was the purpose of journalism in principle, but clearly it is no longer. A classic example of this is Climategate, about which stories emerge daily regarding the large number of e-mails exchanged between ‘eminent’ scientists proving that the primary climate change alarmists had either lied, made up data, destroyed data results that they didn’t like, or suppressed data. It turns out that many such e-mails were sent to the BBC, or CNN, or any number of other mainstream media outlets some time ago, and there were not only no news reports of these astounding documents, but the stories were actually hushed up. When one reflects on the billions upon billions of dollars that have already been spent on the complete scam of climate change, and the extraordinary and ruinous amounts proposed to be spent in the future, one can see the enormity of this scandal. But the mainstream media do not find it worthy of reportage.
What I sometimes wonder is why the members of the mainstream media, who at this point have lost any shred of impartiality, respect , dignity, honesty or professionalism, want to see their country destroyed. Aren’t they Americans? Haven’t they been made aware of the glorious history of their nation? Haven’t they observed their fathers’ and grandfathers’ pride in fighting to defend this country? Is it that somehow they regard themselves as immune to the results of what Obama is trying to accomplish? Or is it that they are in such an elite, self satisfied bubble that they assume that these reversals of the freedoms that they currently enjoy will only effect the plebeians, i.e., all the rest of us? They will find that they will be as overtaxed as we are, as watched by the state as we are, as ruled over by multiculturalism and political correctness as we are, their children as indoctrinated as ours are, and they will be as longing for the America that George Washington created and Barack Hussein Obama, with their help, is destroying.

Do you think you are immune to the repercussions of this administration, and these leftist socialists? Do you honestly wake up in the morning and say, "I can live with this" and expect that those same socialists who have perpetrated this power grab on America will stop here? Are you that disassociated with the political agenda's that permeate Washington? Are you that apathetic? Are you that uninterested in your future? Your children's future? Your grandchildren's future? Believe that you can make a difference, and together one will becomes two, and two will become four, and before you know it millions will become tens of millions, maybe hundreds of millions. You are NOT alone. Do not think that! And certainly do NOT believe that! So I say again America, Wake Up!
